  1. My wife has been after me to get one, and the 2kW inverter is what I'm looking at. As with others, actually power outages are rare and short. A bigger one would be nice, but its just one more thing to store and maintain. I'd get the predator if I had to get one today, but I've been keeping a look out for deals on the other brands. Like Mac, I assume they're all mostly the same.
  2. No need, that alone is enough.
  3. What kind of guitar is that?
  4. I grew up in Chattanooga too. I dispatched many a squirrel off mom's bird feeders with .22 shorts.
  5. Because they've stayed 5-10 years behind the curve that whole time. Its the nature of the beast. They need tax money to update the infrastructure, but they don't get the tax money until after its needed.
  6. Dad is a USAF guy... he calls helicopters "a collection of loose parts flying in formation". Sometimes they break formation without warning. AC-130.... the guy who sits next to me at work used to be a crew chief. We service the engines.
  7. Gotta spend it on something.
  8. Not much you can do. Get to know the officer who will come visit every time she calls.
  9. In about 5 years, you won't have much choice with a new car.
  10. There's 2 very different kinds of Irish whisky (or Scotch) peated and good. The peated stuff tastes like dirt because, well... peat moss. Bushmills and Jameson are not peated and are both good.
  11. So its going where the turf farm was. Go figure that there's 2 partnership parks around. They'll need some major road work to deal with 750 employees. The first Amazon site is at the south end of pellissippi parkway and is well under way this point. They've got 4 stories of steel building going up. So the rumored 2nd Amazon site could be where I thought S&W was going, or could be where SCCY was going, or yet somewhere else.
  12. I didn't mean to infer SCCY was having work done, just that someone is.
  13. Nope, it's just barely in the city because they want the business tax money. All the surrounding property is in the county. The proposed location is off 321 a few miles west of Smoky Mtn Harley. It's in a business park that's been sparsely occupied for 20 years. Partnership Pkwy https://maps.app.goo.gl/uZhYw1mqDhGnNd1S7 It was originally thought to be another Amazon location. And speaking of SCCY, they've started doing grading work on that and adjacent property in the past week. Haven't seen any info on what they're up to.
  14. Prayers for peace and healing for you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
  15. That's murvul if you ain't from round here. I'll be curious to see how many of their current employees come too and how they compete with Denso, Clayton, and Alcoa for wages. Hopefully this goes better than the ammo plant and SCCY.
  16. The proper application of hot sauce can fix a lot of things. And 24hrs can significantly change what one is willing or unwilling to eat.
  17. The trees will start to change when temperatures in the higher elevations drop around freezing. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=RTP&issuedby=MRX
  18. Welcome! ORSA and Chilhowee Sportsmans Club have sporting clay ranges.
  19. Wolf piss collector = veterinarian. Darting the wolf is the hard part. And I agree with the live trap option. Dad's trapped a bunch of raccoons, a couple possums, and one skunk with a TSC trap and cat food.
  20. Exactly. Given the opportunity, I'm running the other way with everyone else.
  21. That's a K11. Wish I had one to go with my K31. I might be able to dig up a few rounds as well. GP11 is the good stuff, but PPU works fine too. I didn't realize ammo had gotten so scarce.
  22. Cumulative or per week?
  23. Why not? That's what demo days are for.
