I'm glad I have boys. Dad over-reacted, but that's not real surprising. The kids' only mistake was getting caught. edit... I'll amend the above and say mistake #1 was doing it at her house. I'm quite sure it would have ended differently if they'd been caught by one of the boys' parents. Mistake #2 was getting caught.

Our subdivision has the big, brick mailboxes with lights on top. When we moved in, 3 years ago, the light didn't work. A few months ago I finally got around to replacing it. We ordered a nice set of lights for the garage, porch, and mailbox. About a week after I installed the lights, some moron high school kids came through bashing them. Many of my neighbors got bashed too. They probably did $1500 in damage around the subdivision. One neighbor called the police, but there's basically nothing they could do unless someone gets a guilty conscious and confesses.

Sounds like nothing more than a fancy in-line fuse, so yes it should work in a non-grounded circuit. If the breaker for the circuit is less than 15 amps, I believe this device will do nothing other than providing a neat way to route your cables.

Lots of truth here. And I'm sure the OP already knows the answers to all his questions. People are far too self-centered. Heaven forbid they drag themselves away from facebook long enough to pay attention to their kids. Most of the "acting out" is simply a plea for attention. My wife and I try very hard to raise my boys to be decent human beings, as there seems to be a shortage of those these days. My Dad (or Mom for that matter) also would've dropped my drawers and whipped me right there in the isle. Trouble is, I'd go to jail if I did that to my kid(s). My 3 yr old has picked up on some sassy back-talk lately. It's all I can do to control my temper when he does that. ... and yes, kudos to the store manager. I'm surprised he/she did that. I wouldn't have thought to complain to the manager.

How much low? My PT145 shot 3-4" low at 15 yds when it was new. After a couple boxes, it began to move up. A few more boxes and it was right on, and has stayed there. I assumed it was just part of the break-in.

I've done a bit with Habitat for Humanity Int'l . There's also things like soup kitchens, boys & girls clubs, women's shelters, ... all sorts of opportunities available. Even if you don't attend church, I'm sure any local church would have contact information for such things.

How is it a violation of free speech? A business chose to stop stocking a particular product because some loud-mouthed nitwit decided to raise a fuss. A business is free to choose what they do and do not sell. He didn't pass a law making it illegal to sell them, all he did was illustrate that the business managers are spineless. I'm sure other places will start selling them now because of the publicity.

I've been to Sevier Indoor Range a couple times. Nice folks, nice place. The range itself isn't air conditioned, though there is lots of air circulation. Be prepared for it to be a bit warm during the heat of the day.

Yep. I can't claim to be a "fan", but I've heard the same things. Slayer, like Madonna, learned early on that controversy sells. I saw an interview with Tom Araya a while back where he admitted it. They'd take a controversial subject and intentionally write a song from the opposing perspective just to push people's buttons. Araya actually seemed to be the most normal one of the bunch. While he does write lyrics to some songs, Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman write a lot as well, and those two are pretty far out there. It's a common misconception.... just because the singer sings it doesn't mean he wrote or even agrees with the lyrics. It's his job to sing.

TWRA thinks some unscrupulous hog hunters are bringing hogs into public lands so they'll have more targets. After all, it's very easy to take a few pigs from a farm and turn them out in the woods. With no natural predators, they'll thrive. So TWRA says... "Ok, if that's how you want to play it, no one but us gets to hunt public land. Maybe that'll teach you a lesson."

I know nothing about the Hellcat. It appears to be a P3AT clone (amazingly similar, actually) with LCP styling. While my P3AT fits my hand pretty well, it's certainly not what I consider "fun to shoot". It serves a purpose only. I'd also suggest she try one first.

I find drawing from a belt holster while wearing a pack with a hip belt is difficult at best. Currently I pocket carry when I've got the little one on my back. I've considered something like the Safepacker or Blackhawk so I can carry something a little bigger. I do recall seeing that someone had a clone of the Safepacker at a much lower price, but I don't recall where at the moment. I've also got a 5.11 PUSH bag that I like. I've not used it for hiking yet, but I expect I will when the little one gets big enough to walk on his own.

I love how it only took two 2 replies before Metallica was mentioned in a Megadeth thread. I wonder if that still pisses Dave off? I'm a big Metallica fan. I guess you'd call me a die hard, because I like it all. Perhaps Load and Re-load should have been culled down into one album, and sure, the production on St. Anger was horrible. But they still have some great songs. Personally, I think the only thing that kept Megadeth from being bigger than Metallica was Dave's ego. Their music is fantastic. Dave's singing is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Instrumental mixes of their albums would If he'd found a better singer instead of having to do that himself too, they'd be the Big 4 headliner.
