Yes, it's very reasonably priced right here... Cumberland County Playhouse, Tennessee's Family Theater, 2011 Productions My wife and I generally prefer the comedies. The one we saw previously was "The Foreigner" and my stomach was sore the next day from laughing so hard. And we still have running jokes based on lines from that play. We used to live near Kingsport and went to the Barter Theatre several times. It's also fantastic.

Our 10th anniversary was about a month ago. We've got a "just us" long weekend get-away planned for the fall, but it was strongly hinted that me arranging a "night out" in the vicinity of our anniversary date might be a good thing. After some searching I got tickets for us to see "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Cumberland County Playhouse, Tennessee's Family Theater, 2011 Productions . We've been to the playhouse a couple times before and it's always been excellent. This time was no exception... hilarious, well done, just plain good entertainment. Highly recommended. :up:That they happened to be showing LSOH worked out well, as one of the first real dates my wife and I went on was to see our school's drama club production. I managed to talk grandparents into keeping the boys over night and managed to find a very nice little B&B nearby... McCoy Place . They call it "An idyllic weekend retreat" and I agree. It's very quiet and peaceful. I spent about an hour on the screened porch sitting in a rocking chair, sipping a cold drink, and watching about a dozen humming birds fight over the feeder. Very relaxing. It's a nice house, with nice hosts, and excellent breakfast. Quite reasonably priced as well. Take your better half to see a show. You'll enjoy it and she might think you've got some culture. Just thought I'd share.

+1 (mostly). While her liability for misses is no greater than anyone else, its surely to become an issue in court. Home defense? I'll buy that. Actually carrying in public? Not so much. I think a trained dog is the best solution.

My wife is a stay-at-home mom to our boys. We have a tacit discretionary spending limit of about $50/month. She tends to spend $40 here and $30 there while I typically save for a while and drop bigger money on one thing. We discuss big purchases which means most any toy I want gets talked about. I sometimes get frustrated with some of the useless crap shes wastes money on. But I'm sure she feels the same about me. At the end of the day we live within our means and very rarely fight about money. A friend has an interesting strategy for such things. His conversations with his wife go something like this... Him - "Hon', I ordered a new exhaust for my bike today." Her - "Ok, how much was it?" Him - "$1800." Her - "$1800!!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FRICKIN' MIND?!?! We can't afford that!" Him - "I'm kidding dear, it was only $900." Her - "Oh, well, um, I guess that's not too bad then." He knows she would've reacted the same way had he told her it was $900 to begin with. But $900 sounds like a lot less than $1800.

I keep my grungy, yard work shoes next to the door in my garage. First thing after I got up at 5:30am, I decided to go turn the sprinkler on. So I went into the garage and puledl those shoes out to walk around outside. I as typically do, I thumped them both on the floor to shake out any unwanted visitors, lest my bare feet have company in the shoes. A great big female Black Widow came tumbling out. She met an unfortunate demise shortly thereafter. A friend and I were hauling a bunch of concrete landscaping blocks from his house to mine. They'd been stacked up behind his house for about a year. We found 15 Black Widows while moving the blocks. There's a good reason why the guy who comes to read your water meter wears one welding glove.

Visit the local shelter or humane society. I tend to avoid any sort of "pure bred" dog because of the frequent congenital health issues. If you're getting a puppy, I hope one of you will be home most of the time. Dogs are pack animals and don't like being left alone. As the owner of a anti-social dog, I'll agree that socialization (with people and other animals) is very important. If you want any sort of "working dog" breed, you MUST exercise them frequently and give them a job. There are few things more destructive than a bored dog. Read Cesar Milan's books. Gotcha. The only rifle I own with a synthetic stock is an FAL. It has a low density filler inside a high density shell, but it also contains the recoil spring/tube. The synthetic stock on a bolt gun is obviously the "bargain" option and is manufactured as such.

There certainly is a way. However booby traps are illegal.

They could all be solid, I really don't know (though that seems like a waste of plastic). If it is solid, you'd still need to modify the butt plate so it would fit the different profile after shortening. It may have a high density outer layer and is filled with a low density plastic. Having looked a little, it seems that a youth sized stock can be had for $100. That might be worth the investment, in the event you want to change it back.

I also suspect the plastic stock is hollow, so while shortening it isn't easy, it's not impossible either. What you'd need to do is carefully cut out the mounting plate for the butt pad. Then fit it to the shortened stock and glue it back in place. Alternatively, you can consider replacing it with a "youth" sized stock (typically 1-2" shorter) or having one made with a custom length-of-pull.

Keeping it oiled will slow the rust process, but will not prevent further rust. You must remove the existing rust (steel wool, scotchbrite, etc.) and then treat the surface to prevent it continuing to corrode. If you want to have it refinished, I wouldn't do anything prior to giving it to the refinisher. They're the expert, let them fix it.

I'm glad I have boys. Dad over-reacted, but that's not real surprising. The kids' only mistake was getting caught. edit... I'll amend the above and say mistake #1 was doing it at her house. I'm quite sure it would have ended differently if they'd been caught by one of the boys' parents. Mistake #2 was getting caught.

Our subdivision has the big, brick mailboxes with lights on top. When we moved in, 3 years ago, the light didn't work. A few months ago I finally got around to replacing it. We ordered a nice set of lights for the garage, porch, and mailbox. About a week after I installed the lights, some moron high school kids came through bashing them. Many of my neighbors got bashed too. They probably did $1500 in damage around the subdivision. One neighbor called the police, but there's basically nothing they could do unless someone gets a guilty conscious and confesses.

Sounds like nothing more than a fancy in-line fuse, so yes it should work in a non-grounded circuit. If the breaker for the circuit is less than 15 amps, I believe this device will do nothing other than providing a neat way to route your cables.

Lots of truth here. And I'm sure the OP already knows the answers to all his questions. People are far too self-centered. Heaven forbid they drag themselves away from facebook long enough to pay attention to their kids. Most of the "acting out" is simply a plea for attention. My wife and I try very hard to raise my boys to be decent human beings, as there seems to be a shortage of those these days. My Dad (or Mom for that matter) also would've dropped my drawers and whipped me right there in the isle. Trouble is, I'd go to jail if I did that to my kid(s). My 3 yr old has picked up on some sassy back-talk lately. It's all I can do to control my temper when he does that. ... and yes, kudos to the store manager. I'm surprised he/she did that. I wouldn't have thought to complain to the manager.
