  1. Another -1 for Symantec anything. I used it for a long time until I finally switched. It's awful.
  2. There's a very long list... If you don't want to get him more Gentlemen Jack, just find a bottle on the shelf that looks pretty. There have been a couple threads here with various suggestions. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/57200-i-dont-drink-whiskey-often-but-when-i-do-jack-george.html
  3. Glad she's ok. Seems like discretion may have been a better choice. Go back inside, get the security to escort you out. If something gives you "the creeps", there's a reason for it.
  4. A friend of mine built his own moving target range in his back yard using an old garage door opener. It works pretty well.
  5. Smart idea to get a computer just for her. Several friends have had their home PC massively buggered (unintentionally) by their kids. I don't have any suggestions for parental control software but as my kiddies are getting closer to that age, I'll stayed tuned here.
  6. You can .... CUSTOM MLF DECALS – myloudfamily
  7. I used to work in the stock room at Sears. Can't think of how many appliances I loaded into some strange places. If loading a fridge required laying it down, we always advised folks to leave it standing up for at least 12 hours before plugging it in. The brush attachment for your vacuum does an excellent job cleaning out dust bunnies. If you're outside and don't care about a mess, compressed air works well too.
  8. I understand your desire to get the parts and fix it yourself, I like fixing things myself too. But it seems like the $10 to ship it is still cheaper than buying the parts. If it takes a couple weeks, you've got other toys to play with in the mean time. I'd do what BryanP suggested and simply send it back without the pins. "It fell out and disappeared under my work bench... ". If you can't find the parts anywhere, the existing trigger can likely be fixed with various epoxies.
  9. They offered to fix it for free and you're pissed about that?

    My DB9 experiance

When I saw the thread title, I thought you meant this...
  11. My point being that all this pontificating on which caliber is better is virtually meaningless. Worry about good hits on the target. Everything else is largely irrelevant.
  12. 2nd for this. A friend has one, it's quite nice. Much more rounded than the PPS, which seems "square-ish" to me.
  13. Amen to that. In this age of nano-technology, why are key-fobs so friggin' big?
  14. What Dolomite said, and... it's fun. You learn a lot more about how and why it works. You know which pin goes here and which spring goes there. Sometimes you learn that the hard way. Some people find several $300 expenses more palatable than one $900 expense.
  15. The one that hits a vital organ first.
  16. I carry a $3 Ray-O-Vac flashlight in my pocket all the time. I must be getting old because I use it a lot.
  17. Just curious... did you have a problem that drove you to replace the plastic pins with metal?
  18. Interesting. His big brother periodically has some pretty ugly cradle cap. We've used olive oil on him. Put some on his head about 30 mins before bath time and then scrub it pretty good. End up having to shampoo 2 or 3 times to get the oil out, but the cradle cap is gone for a few more months. Our pediatrician made an interesting comment on it, he said lots of adults have cradle cap too, except they call it dandruff.
  19. I'm still on the far side of that hill, my youngest just turned 1. So there is light at the end of this tunnel?
  20. I have two 2lb rechargeable Desi-Pak bags. They both get recharged once a year in January. One gets vacuum sealed and opened about June. We use lots of them where I work so they were free for me. Google tells me they're only available by the drum.
  21. I have several familly members covering the range of diabetes management options. One has a pump, 2 or 3 manage only with diet. Ugly consequences if it gets out of control, take care of yourself.
  22. Whether shooting with one hand or two, make an effort to extend your thumb(s) toward the target. Don't wrap them around your fingers. Extending your thumb a little will help lock your wrist.
  23. Bummer. Here's another tidbit of advice... If you're doing campus interviews (where the company reps come to the school), sign up for as many as you can. Sign up to interview with places you have no interest in working. Since you're not really interested, you'll be more relaxed and able to think more clearly. It's good practice.
  24. If you try Seafoam, don't pour it in the tank, suck it in through a vacuum line. Warm the engine up first, don't do it in the garage, and make sure your house is upwind. It'll smoke like a freight train.
  25. As an adult, it's perfectly legal to refuse treatment. That said, I hope they get you fixed up. I'm also curious how a sinus/ear infection landed you in the hospital.
