I worked at TRW in Rogersville for 7 years, we lived in Church Hill. We really miss living there. If you go to Pig & Chick, try the cowboy beans. mmmmm.... Dives always have the best food. The little "shack on wheels" with the home-made propane tank smoker sitting in a gravel lot on the side of the road will undoubtedly have excellent food.

I made chimichangas similar to TMF's a while back and they were excellent. I added a little green, red, and yellow bell peppers to the meat mixture just for color. I'm not a big fan of bell pepper flavor so a little goes a long way for me. The best trick I found to filling and folding them was to scoop out an appropriate amount of filling for one tortilla, but only put half of it on a tortilla's. Kept me from over-filling them and making a mess. Top with some shredded cheese and fold. I baked them instead of frying them. Pre-heat the oven to 400. Brush the tortilla's with a little olive oil and sprinkle a little shredded cheese on top. Pre-heat the pan for a minute or so before putting the chimi's on it. Switch from bake to low broil and put them in until they're nicely browned an crispy.. 10-15 mins. And yes.... Negro Modello is an excellent choice.

I used to live near Kingsport and share your opinion of Ridgewood. Locals RAVE about it. I thought the BBQ was mediocre and the sides were like high school cafeteria food. Maybe we went on an off day. Try Pig & Chick near Rogersville... yum.

Famous Dave's, Calhoun's, Buddy's, Sweet P's, Full Service BBQ (Maryville) , Whitts (Maryville)... had them all. All pretty good.

Interesting. I'd like to shoot my K31 at a little longer range to see what it'll do.

What he said. 95% of people wouldn't notice if you were on fire. Half of those that notice wouldn't do anything about it.

Yes, do tell. I carry a P3AT in a Desantis Nemesis. As many have stated, the long trigger pull is the safety, the pocket holster just adds more margin. A gun without a round in the chamber is nothing more than an expensive hammer.

How did you feel the first time you carried?

Anxious, fidgety, hyper alert. But that faded pretty fast. -

One might argue that they chickened out. The owner doesn't like the administrations policies. What better way to discuss and present your opinions than face-to-face? Make your argument, be very straightforward, present data to support your position, and otherwise drill the mindless goob into the ground. All while the press is recording the whole thing. However, if there wouldn't be the opportunity to have such a discussion.... I'd have told them to hit the bricks as well.

Exercises 1 - 3 here, plus the typical shoulder exercises with dumbells.... front raises, lateral raises (don't go too high), overhead press, etc. Very light weight, high reps (at least 10 per arm), 2-3 sets, 2-4 times per week. I didn't do all the exercises in one workout. I'd typically do 3 or 4 of these during a "normal" work out. Don't do them back-to-back. Do 1 or 2 exercises, work another muscle group for a while, and then do a couple more. I also found yoga to be quite helpful with this and other things. *sigh* I really need to get back to exercising regularly. If only I didn't have to sleep....

Just got a proper belt. Wow what a difference!
peejman replied to 10-Ring's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Same as OS... Beltman bullhide. Expensive but worth it. I've worn mine daily for about 6 years and it's lost very little stiffness if any. http://thebeltman.net/ -
Yet another example of why government assistance does not work

I agree that the system is very broken. Deadbeat parents are given far to much leeway. But if he's providing childcare, then isn't that effectively bartering his monetary obligation? -
I've had problems with my left shoulder since high school. I was a wrestler and my left shoulder would pop in and out quite easily. After a while it quit hurting when it happened, it'd pop out and I push it back in and go on. It gradually got better over the next several years. Doing a few exercises a physical therapist taught me helped a good bit. Every few years since then (... nearly 20 years ago now... geez I'm getting old) I'll do something I know I shouldn't and hurt it again. And it really hurts, typically for about a week. I feel sure it should be restored with surgery, but most people I've talked to say the surgery is VERY painful and full recovery takes a year. I'm not ready for that yet.

I grew up shooting right handed long guns left handed. When I got into handguns and learned about eye dominance, I switched and started shooting right handed. Took a bit of adjustment, but works fine. I'm probably much more comfortable shooting weak hand/side than a typical right handed shooter.

One of the reasons why I don't like the idea of dual citizenship.

I need a recommendation for car audio installation
peejman replied to Volzfan's topic in General Chat
Get a new in-dash unit with their kit and install it yourself. I've done several, it's not that hard. http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/carselector.aspx?lp=%2fApp%2fCar%2foutfitmycar%2fcar.aspx -
Here's the statute.... Again, you can't be criminally charged but expect the inevitable civil suit to address it. And yes, willfully carrying without a permit and posting such on the internet...

Coal Creek Armory has the G19, XD9, and SR9 available for rent. Go try all 3, pick the one you shoot the best.

I also wear contacts most of the time.... ~20/400 without them. I have a pair of prescription safety glasses that I wear around the house. While not exactly stylish, they're pretty durable.
-
Don't have time to look up and quote the statue (I'm sure someone else will), but you cannot be criminally charged for illegal possession if you've used the gun in self-defense. Anything goes in civil court.

If you don't feel comfortable with the bill of sale, don't use it. It's not required. Check the buyer's ID and if it's good, your obligations are fulfilled.

Where does the "You'uns" belts stop in Tennesse?
peejman replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I was born in SC and my family that still lives there says both y'uns and y'all. I grew up in Chattanooga and heard/here both there as well.
