Yes, it's really that easy. A crayon works fine and isn't permanent. I'm a deer hunting noob as well, but I work with lots of avid hunters. The vast majority of them have never shot at a deer more than 100 yds away in TN (the guys that go to Ohio excepted). Between the hills and trees, most shots are within 50 yds.

I just hope this doesn't mean I'll have to pay sales tax if I order online....

Take your CZ to a range that has an M&P rental and compare them. If you shoot the CZ better, so what if it's devalued by modifying or removing the decocker? If you shoot the M&P better, get one. If plinking with the AR is important to you, get a .22 conversion or dedicated upper for it. I love my SKS, but surplus ammo isn't what I'd consider "cheap" anymore. If you really want cheap ammo, get an AK-74.

Come to think of it, you might look at the Nissan Versa hatchback. The back seat is positively enormous! A 6'3" friend fit in the back seat with leg room to spare. Like the others... not real flashy but good basic transportation. I had one as a rental for a week in FL, no complaints. When had our 2nd, we bought a mini-van. Wifey was not happy about the idea at first, but she loves it now. It's huge and its so much easier to get the kids (4 & 2) in/out than a car.

I used to visit a Cabela's in Michigan when I was there on business. It makes BassPro look like a Dollar General.

It'll be snug, but ok for infrequent use. Take both kids and their car seats with you to the dealer. Test fit everything to make sure you're happy with it. The 4 yr old will likely need to be behind your wife so he'll have some leg room. The baby carrier may not allow you to put the driver's seat all the way back. The biggest pain will be getting the kiddies in/out. Otherwise, they're good cars. Keep up with the maintenance and they'll last a long time.

I'll have to disagree. Went to a Ruth's Chris in Detroit on the company dime a few years ago. It was good, but so are the steaks I cook on my grill at home. The high society atmosphere doesn't impress me at all. I'd rather eat at Cracker Barrel. I guess I'm just a simpleton.

You can damage a magazine spring by over-compressing it. If the follower has bump on the underside that prevents you from mashing the spring until it's flat, it's there for a reason. If you take the mag apart, don't mash the spring flat. Otherwise, you won't hurt the spring keeping a mag fully loaded.

Just finished a small bottle of Chivas Regal. Smooth flavor, if a little bland. Also seemed a little weak for 80 proof. I was surprised how much I drank with minimal effect. Now working on a bottle of The Glenlivet... mmmmmm. Tasty.

I worked at TRW in Rogersville for 7 years, we lived in Church Hill. We really miss living there. If you go to Pig & Chick, try the cowboy beans. mmmmm.... Dives always have the best food. The little "shack on wheels" with the home-made propane tank smoker sitting in a gravel lot on the side of the road will undoubtedly have excellent food.

I made chimichangas similar to TMF's a while back and they were excellent. I added a little green, red, and yellow bell peppers to the meat mixture just for color. I'm not a big fan of bell pepper flavor so a little goes a long way for me. The best trick I found to filling and folding them was to scoop out an appropriate amount of filling for one tortilla, but only put half of it on a tortilla's. Kept me from over-filling them and making a mess. Top with some shredded cheese and fold. I baked them instead of frying them. Pre-heat the oven to 400. Brush the tortilla's with a little olive oil and sprinkle a little shredded cheese on top. Pre-heat the pan for a minute or so before putting the chimi's on it. Switch from bake to low broil and put them in until they're nicely browned an crispy.. 10-15 mins. And yes.... Negro Modello is an excellent choice.

I used to live near Kingsport and share your opinion of Ridgewood. Locals RAVE about it. I thought the BBQ was mediocre and the sides were like high school cafeteria food. Maybe we went on an off day. Try Pig & Chick near Rogersville... yum.

Famous Dave's, Calhoun's, Buddy's, Sweet P's, Full Service BBQ (Maryville) , Whitts (Maryville)... had them all. All pretty good.

Yes, do tell. I carry a P3AT in a Desantis Nemesis. As many have stated, the long trigger pull is the safety, the pocket holster just adds more margin. A gun without a round in the chamber is nothing more than an expensive hammer.
