I had a box turtle as an unofficial pet when I was a kid. Found him in the back yard (big-ish wooded area behind our house) and named him Henry. Fed him veggie table scraps, crickets, and worms. He hung around the whole summer but disappeared for the winter. I found him again the next spring and decided to paint an "H" on his shell to make sure it really was the same turtle. Again, he hung around through the summer and disappeared in the winter. Didn't come back the next spring. A few years later, I found his shell while playing in the woods.

If they were playing in the street on a busy street I can certainly see the cop giving her a lecture, but arresting her? There must be more to the story. My kids are 4 and 2 and they play outside while I'm working in the garage/yard. I do not have eyes on them every second. My ears give me a good idea of where they are and what they're doing. I do check on them frequently. The older one knows to stay in the yard (and does, for the most part) and the younger one just follows his big brother around. I only worry when it gets quiet.

Maybe if you wear those nifty velcro seamed warm-up pants like basketball players (or strippers) do...

Interesting. Seems that this instance and another instance linked within indicate this is mostly a concern if you open carry. If you concealed carry, you'd have to move the garment out of the way to reholster, greatly reducing the chances of the drawstring doodad getting caught. Assuming this is your outer (cover) garment.

Good stuff. My 4 yr old wears a kid sized backpack when we go hiking. Either it's empty or has his kiddie binoculars in it. I don't want him to get tired carrying any real weight. He enjoys the novelty of it. I look forward to teaching him more stuff as he gets a little older.

Get a little gas saving beater for those quick trips when you don't need 10,000 tow capacity.

They're fine. A friend has a couple (bought as pieces and assembled) and has had no issues.

What they said.... surf the water sports rack at your local sporting goods/outfitter place. I would look for something that will float with all your stuff inside. I don't think there's any danger cliff diving, etc. with the gun as long as it's in some sort of holster that covers the trigger. If you hit something hard enough to cause problems with the gun, you've likely got bigger problems. Keep in mind that if the gun is crammed in a pouch with a bunch of other stuff, you won't be able to access it in a hurry.

Got a bottle of this while on vacation a couple weeks ago. Flavor exactly as described on the bottle and was good for sipping, but it didn't mix well for whatever reason.

Grit blasting is probably the easiest way. You can get similar results with etchants (acids), but you need to know exactly what steel you've got.

It sure seems like it would have to be more than an unorganized mob to take that whole facility. But given the other thread about unarmed embassy guards, it's likely they would have been woefully out-gunned regardless. Our lack of response is very troubling.

I agree completely. Guns are meant to be shot, cars are meant to be driven. However, as the others have said some of these are (virtually) one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable.

With a permit, you're allowed to carry on state park, national forest, and national park property, regardless of signage. I don't think you can carry inside park buildings that are properly posted. City/county parks are where it gets really confusing.

FTW! And God forbid parents actually pay attention to their kids. Living vicariously through people they barely know on facebook is vastly more important.
