Just your typical bug out bag. He might make it to the stop sign before dumping half of it.

I do beer can chicken pretty often. I use the mini coke cans we get for the kids. I pull one out of the recycle bin and fill it about half full of beer. I sit the chicken upright in an aluminum pie pan and sit that on the grill. I find that sits there just fine, no need for those pricey stands. I would like to get a rotisserie.

There was a lady who hung out in our church parking lot for a couple weeks. The staff offered assistance and she declined saying begging was her job and she was making $300-$400/wk just sitting there. Her brother dropped her off and picked her up every day. She's since moved to another location.

Ground power gas turbines are generally used for peak power only. They use way too much fuel for base load work and then consume a fair amount of power when not producing. So a base load of solar/wind/hydro with gas turbines for really hot afternoons or really cold nights is a solution.

Very little transportation of spent fuel has actually happened. Last I was told, TVA has sent zero spent fuel anywhere. It's all stored on site and they don't expect to run out of space for a while. Our problems with nuclear power are mostly related to the antiquated design of pressurized water reactors. They're huge, complex, use low density fuel, and make a lot of waste compared to newer ideas. Government efficiency is hard at work streamlining the design approval process.

There's no such thing as too much power, only not enough traction. But seriously, it's all in the connection between your brain and right hand. I've seen people start out on 1000cc sport bikes and do just fine. I've seen people pile in on a 125 during the MSF course. It takes all kinds. My XT gets 75-80 mpg. It uses the same amount of gas in a week as my SUV does in a day. I have a hitch hauler and it's handy. Though if Tellico is your destination and that CRF is what you want, just ride it there. And yeah, splashing in the puddles is the fun part....

You'uns or y'uns is even deeper south. My family in SC says that.

You're a big tipper. Last I heard the quote was about $500k to remove hundreds of trees. Parsons isn't going to reopen anytime soon and wasn't worth Cades Cove traffic anyway, though passing a stuck Jeep in my minivan was fun. There's lots of better gravel roads around.

Funny how chicken and waffles is delightful while tuna a waffles isn't.

And Washington, Maine, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, ... those are the plates I can recall seeing in my subdivision lately. Maybe to you west tennessee folk.... We know the difference here in God's time zone.

Doesn't apply to LEO's, they're wearing wearing a uniform and are at work. It's generally accepted that they'll be armed. I agree that people are overly sensitive to open carry, among a long list of other things. Unfortunately, most of the open carry I see is either some half wit wearing a crap holster or a voldemort wannabe. I see no tactical advantage in open carry and I do my best to avoid attention, so I don't do it.

What they said..... Cades Cove is all about timing and there's tons of interesting stuff not visible from the road. Rich Mtn Rd is a good way out when the nitwits jam up the road. Tuckaleechee caverns is neat. Fontana dam is neat, as is Calderwood and Cheoah (Fugitve) dam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheoah_Dam Watch for nitwits on horses in the Citico Creek area. Fantastic views from Shuckstack fire tower, Hooper Bald, and Whig Meadow. Smokin Joe's BBQ, the Steak and Trout place, and Burger Master are really good. Tellico Grains or Tellico Beach drive in, if you get over there.
