  1.     My sister and b-i-l have a theater room similar to yours, projector with 90" screen.  The trouble you'll have with a painted wall is that it's neither flat nor smooth.  The smooth can be fixed with lots of sanding.  The waviness of sheet rock will distort the image a bit.
  2. Trapping them will work, but keep in mind that a possum in a trap is a very unhappy critter.  The urine should work too and yes, seal up any small openings with Great Stuff.  But be careful if you're spraying it into a closed cavity.  If you over-do it, the foam can expand with enough pressure to crack masonry.          My Dad has the same problem with racoons.  He traps and relocates them, but he's taking them 20 miles away.  I don't think 3 miles is nearly far enough and I certainly wouldn't be wasting gas hauling squirrels.  Go back to the BB gun, just clean up after yourself more promptly.  They make good fertilizer...
  3.     Yep, there's just something about a wailing trumpet.  I still listen to Maynard Ferguson for that very reason.  And PM send about the band...
  4. What most of them said.  It's dirty and maybe a little soft, but works fine.  Wear would only be a concern if you're shooting multi-thousands of rounds.
  5. About a month for my wife recently as well.  Congrats!
  6.     Yes, quite an expensive cab ride.  But given how much the concert tickets are...   The "Market Square" area has a number of good restaurants/bars.  It's walking distance if you're up for a 2-ish mile walk.  Tomato head, Downtown Grill & Brewery, Tupelo Honey, and Preservation Pub are all good.  Cafe 4 is good too, but I don't recommend it for political reasons.      Much closer to the Arena is Calhoun's  and Ruth's Chris on Neyland Dr.  There's also lots of stuff on the Cumberland Ave "strip"     edit.... and so far, the weather forecast is crappy.  Cold, rainy, snowy.... :yuck:
  7.     Your homeowners should cover it, less your deductible of course.    Ask around about free firewood.  I know of a few that would be interested.
  8.     My ex-girlfriend at the time (also in the band) was a redhead and played the flute...
  9.   Appleseed supporter?  http://www.appleseedinfo.org/
  10. In Texas of all places too.  Good for the mom for calling this goob out!
  11.     We never did that contest, but did plenty of others around the area.  Interestingly, I met my wife at one about 3 years before we actually met.  The UTC band did an exhibition at a contest her HS band attended.  Obviously, we're both band geeks.  We got to talking about it and found out she was at that show.  She remembered it vividly.... something about the flag girls in leotards dancing in a very sexy fashion around the trumpet line (me) while playing Heartbreak Hotel stuck in her memory.  Stuck in my memory too.  We had to practice it over, and over, and over...  :)
  12.     Dunno.  I click the link and get an embedded video player and it starts automatically.  There's one comment below the video and nothing else one the page seems to load, though I attribute that to my employer's web filtering.            My HS (Hixson) had a very good program and from there I went to UTC for 2 years.  That was, by far, the most fun I've ever had in band.  The band itself was excellent and the directors really did a great job of making sure it was fun.  Leaving the band was my only regret when I transferred to TTU.
  13. Yes, I'm a former band geek.  I got this in an email and found it pretty impressive.  I'm told this is the Royal Norwegian Guard Regiment.  Their pin wheels could use a little work, but otherwise the performance is excellent.  Reminds me of the good 'ole days when all I had to worry about was staying in step.  A few things to note... They're marching on ice.   They're carrying functional Garands.    They're playing music from one of the greatest movies, ever.   http://sorisomail.com/email/16993/exibicao-de-banda-militar--um-espectaculo-imperdivel.html
  14.     A former coworker's Dad would deer hunt from the kitchen table.  Their back door opened to the corn field behind the house.  He could only get away with it when his wife was out shopping.
  15.     This requires pics....
  16.     Exactly the same.  Car parts may get a little thicker layer of chrome, but no real difference otherwise.
  17. Ask your local auto restoration place.  They get stuff chromed all the time.
  18. You'd be amazed at how much oil some types of wood can soak up.  Depends on the wood and the oil.  That said, 16 coats sounds like about 10 too many.  If you want a finish that deep, just lacquer the thing and be done with it.
  19.     But think of the savings!  Buying someone's reloads in a ziplock baggie probably saved $5.   79 more baggies and that $400 gun will be paid for....         Forgive the sarcasm.  Glad she wasn't hurt.  I'd say she learned an expensive lesson.  A lawyer will cost a lot more than $400.
  20. Wow.
  21. My wife got hers in the mail last week.  Took about 4 weeks.
  22. Very cool.  I believe my employer has one that was flown by the local Air National Guard refueling unit during one of their sandbox deployments several years ago.
  23.   Looks good!    For the vice, you might try baked on tractor paint.  I'd also double reinforce the table top underneath the vice.

Dang you!  I'm gonna be humming that damn song for the rest of the day!   :yuck:
