  1.   Me next!     Best of my memory, you should be getting all your groomsmen a small gift of some sort.  A pistol is quite a gesture and way more than what I could afford when I got married.  I got my groomsmen personalized gifts, in that each of them got something different.  One is a big Ferrari F1 fan so I got him a huge Ferrari flag to hang in his garage.  Another is a big Metallica fan so I got him a DVD set.  I also covered about half the cost of their tuxes.  I've been a groomsman in their weddings as well and have received a nice engraved flask and a beer stein, among other things.    That said, how about Battle Mugs?
  2. Finally got the smoker out this weekend. Didn't get any pics of preparing the bologna, but here's the finished product. It's yummy.

    XDs 9mm

Good to know they've finally hit stores.  I want my wife to pick between the XDs9 and Shield.
  4. Ye ole F3. Had it for about 10 years and love it, though it'll be for sale whenever I find time to put it back together. And the mighty XT (next to a friend's KLX). Fun little bike.
  5. Other than the potential smell, skunks are good critters to have around.  They eat all kinds of much less desirable critters.  They're also typically pretty docile.  Trapping and relocating is probably the best option.
  6.   Likely the best looking Tokarev that ever existed...
  7.   Ah.  That makes a bit more sense.
  8. With 1 acre, I'd definitely get a riding mower.  If money is an issue, look for a used one.  Keep in mind that most all the basic models sold by most retailers (Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) are effectively the same.  Keep it simple.  Fewer "features" means fewer things that can break.
  9. The choice between 0W20 vs 5W30 oil has more to do with meeting fuel mileage targets than lubrication, except in very cold climates.   The filter change is about economies of scale.  The cartridge type takes 10 second less to install on the assembly line and costs $0.003 less when you buy 5 million of them.
  10. Mileage depends on how and what you drive.  I've put well over 75k on a set before.  A friend's wife smokes the pads and rotors in under 30k repeatedly.
  11. I'm surprised he got in there with it.  We went a few years ago and the searches were pretty thorough.  I even had a conversation with a security guy about the empty holster in my bag...
  12.     I've noticed the machinery thing too.  I'd guess Discovery is paying them easy 5 figures per episode.  I think they get an oil subsidy just for living in AK and they sell/trade the cattle to fund various things.  But I'd assume their bills are pretty low too.... no mortgage, no cell phone, no internet, no TV, no power, no water, ....   that makes life pretty cheap.
  13. When they're (nearly) worn out.  Ideally just before they start squealing since I don't want to ruin the rotors.  About 1/8" of pad left = nearly done.
  14. Safe empty.  Stuff will rattle around no matter how well you secure it.  What if you have a wreck/flat/strap breaks and the safe goes tumbling down the interstate?  Bring friends, beer, and an appliance dolly.
  15.   I know and do have a license, but in the unlikely event I hook something I don't have a permit for,  I don't have to worry about it as I don't keep anything anyway.
  16.     Amen.   That gigantic nut that holds the drain pipe to the bottom of the sink....   Whoever the yahoo is that decided that was the best way to do it needs his peepee smacked.      Cleaning it...  a few small (SMALL!!) pieces of cooked chicken bone with some very hot (boiling) water.            Neither are the peels from a 1/2 bushel of cucumbers or apples.
  17. In case you aren't aware.... pics or it didn't happen.    :)
  18. There's a reason why I try to just feed the fish.  I don't keep anything but pictures.
  19. Sounds like a bad ground.  Good luck finding it...
  20. The boxes of WWB .380 were about $23/50.
  21. I've met Yellow Wolf a couple times.  Rick's a super nice guy and will amaze you with what a 'wing can really do.  He also did the 1000 miles of Deal's Gap a couple years ago.  He literally rode back and forth for 1000 miles in less than 24 hrs.  He tried to get credit for a SS1k but couldn't because the average speed required him to exceed the posted limit.  http://www.easttnriders.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12734   As for the road.... its not a racetrack, its a road.  Ride/drive it like its a road and you'll be fine.  I used to ride it a lot but the persecution that went on a couple years ago by the THP mostly ruined it for me.
  22. Yep, I like it and River Monsters too.  I know I couldn't deal with that much winter, but I still romanticize the idea of homestead living.  Darn lot of work tho...
  23. You got a piece of the X, so it's an X.
