  1. Sadly, I don't have enough knowledge to recognize such a diamond in the rough or the skills to restore one. Wish I did.
  2. More or less... minus the pink basket.
  3. Sweet bike!   Moments after seeing the pic, the vision of some big, burly, bearded lumber jack type riding that bike in full Tour de France regalia appeared in my head, and I chuckled.  :)
  4.     "Stupid on toast"....  I nearly choked trying not to spit my drink all over my computer...
  5. Nice deuce!  I think it would fun to use one for my daily commute.
  6. *whew*   Morbid curiosity got the better of me so I clicked on this thread.  Yep, that actually sounds like a pretty good treat.  I also would assume that it's somehow related to "cat head biscuits".  Interesting that folks in the 1860's would know what a boiled cat looks like...
  7. Think what the current world population would be if the Black Plague hadn't happened. What if Hilter, Stalin, and Mao hadn't killed nearly 100 million people? What if HIV wasn't currently ravaging Africa. Things could be wildly different.
  8. Born in Summerville, SC and raised in Chattanooga. At least I'm not from AL.
  9. Heck, leave me a large sum of money and I'll have one of every color! I've been Jonesing to see one in person. It sure looks sweet in the pics I've seen.
  10. I don't think letting the world descend into anarchy would have a happy ending.  Just look at central Africa, Yemen, Somalia, ...   Regarding all the safety stuff, how far would you go?  Abolish traffic and vehicle safety laws?  OSHA, FAA, (insert long list of all manner of certification agencies), legalize all drugs?    Would you be willing to risk your life and the lives of your loved ones while Darwin did his work?  I think it's got a chance of working, but it'd likely take a couple generations for any real effect.  How long could you (we) tolerate it?
  11.     Could've been H2, I didn't really pay attention.        Amen. There's some excellent documentaries on PBS.  The Ken Burns' documentaries are fantastic.
  12.     Not here.  I watched WWII in HD while at home eating lunch.  Episodes leading up to D-Day.
  13. Ruger P85 MKII, still got it.
  14. I had 3 great-uncles that were WWII vets, only one of them spoke about it much. He was in the press corps and loved to tell stories. :usa:
  15. That's what makes me think ROTC.
  16. Happy B'day! I'll be there myself soon.
  17.     But the video is awesome!  That's what the mute button is for.   While in college, a roommate and I had a class break from 12-2.  We'd go back to our dorm, turn on CMT, mute it, and turn Rush on the radio.  Made for a nice lunch break.
  18. Layla, the original version by Derek and the Dominoes.    The opening riff is excellent and iconic.  The never-ending dueling guitar solo garbage at the end is freakin' horrible.  I love Eric Clapton's music and Duane Allman's music, but the two of them playing totally uncoordinated solos over the top of one another in the same register is just awful.    The acoustic version Clapton later recorded at an "MTV Unplugged" session is excellent.
  19. Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones.  That endless "hoo-hoo" crap drives me nucking futs.            Free bird - Mostly repetition.            While I know zip about ICP, don't let the Slipknot image fool you. Not only are they talented musicians, they f'ing rock!
  20.   Sometimes they come pre-monogrammed.  Bonus points if they happen to match up.
  21. Free Bird.   There, I said it.
  22. This one time, at band camp.... Ah the stuff that happens. My guess is he's in ROTC.
  23.     Sounds like fun.  Wish you were closer (and wish I had some free time) ....
  24. That sounds yummy. So far I've avoided smoking beef. Getting beef right seems kinda touchy and honestly, I'm scared of it. I'll be really, REALLY, pissed at myself if I ruin a perfectly good $50 hunk of meat. Guess I'll have to suck it up and have a go sometime....
