  1.     Front page of USAToday, surprisingly...   http://www.usatoday.com/
  2. If flying to FL is high on your list, living closer to Nashville is a better choice.  Knoxville is a decent little airport, but nothing like Nashville.   That said, any of the 3 towns you listed should be fine.    Oak Ridge gets lots of bad weather and the cops are strict (as are the traffic cameras) but ORSA might make up for that.  Proximity to Knoxville can be good or bad depending on your perspective.    Crossville gets its share of bad weather as well, along with more ice/snow in the winter due to being on the plateau, but its also a little cooler in the summer.  It's much more "small town-ish" than Oak Ridge.    Athens has grown a lot over the years and I'd put it somewhere between Oak Ridge and Crossville.    That said, given the option I'd pick somewhere in the "far east".  We used to live near Kingsport and really liked it there.

    FAL vs G3 vs M14

Nothing wrong with any of the 3.  Full auto fire from any of them is a waste of ammo.  Cost no object, I'd pick the M14 simply because it's probably the most accurate of the 3.  I'd pick the FAL 2nd because they're uber reliable and I think they're cool.
  4. After the reality of spending upwards of $50/mo at the barber for me and my boys, I bought the wife an $80 set of clippers and said, "have at it."   That paid for itself pretty quick and no more waiting an hour or more for a haircut.  She does a pretty good job.  There's been a bit of a learning curve, but I've certainly gotten worse haircuts from someone who had a barber college certificate on the wall.
  5. Same stuff as all the pediatricians asking about guns in the house.
  6. He even fired back at the media...         I don't always like what Barkley spouts off about, but he's spot-on here.
  7. Some security guard, hanging out in the back of the building and shooting through walls.
  8. It's a High Point.  The factory actually made it that ugly on purpose.
  9. The difference between being genuine and being brutally honest is tact.  Sometimes tact is a good thing, sometimes not.
  10. Wow.  Took away his obamaphone and EBT yet he can afford to eat at Cheesecake Factory?  That's the most creative way of skipping a check I've heard of.  Nice twist on the good cop/bad cop routine.   But seriously, did you pick up Guy #2's check?
  11.     Two entire generations of drooling mouth breathers who will never amount to anything?  Nice.         Ignorance is bliss.
  12. Depends on the extent to which you do it.  If its a hobby and something you enjoy, it's not for nothing.  If you're obsessive about it and it has a significant impact on other areas of your life... probably not such a good thing.
  13.     mmmmmm.... blackberry cobbler with heaping portion of vanilla ice cream...  mmmmmmm.....
  14. Jim Carrey's politics aside, there's a reason why "Liar, Liar" is one of my all time favorite movies.
  15. As for stuff showing in stock online ... call the store and ask if they really have it.   As for motorcycle stuff... amen.  Good to hear that the bike shops in the "far east" are still clueless.  Tire prices are the reason I started changing my own about 10 years ago.  DIY for $250 or pay the shop $450?  Gee, lemme think about that....    Thankfully the shops around Knoxville are a little more connected to reality.
  16. Shoot a PM to George...   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/66260-couple-new-projects-of-mine/
  17. While I appreciate the idea of the rally, time might be better spent finding and preparing a candidate who can actually defeat him.  So far no one's even come close.
  18. The biggest risk is burning your hand if you grab hot metal.  If left in the sun, surface temps can exceed 150 deg F.
  19.   Wrong time of year.  Mid summer, mid day, all the critters are napping.  Best time to see critters is cool, misty days.
  20.     I've heard lot of folks rave about ye 'ol...   wife and I went there for anniversary a couple years ago and had prime rib.  Meh.  It wasn't bad, but sure not worth the cost.  I think the folks that rave about it have no idea how to grill a steak at home.
  21. Wow, that's pristine!  Nice!
  22. I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there... While the atmosphere was nice, the food was poor at best. Everything was drowning in oil and massively over seasoned. Perhaps I'm spoiled by having had real Italian food in Italy. The American version is nothing like what I had there. Everything was very light and delicately seasoned. YMMV.
  23. January thru march with the exception of valentines day.
