  1.     Basically this.  I rotate between a few to keep in the habit of handling each of them.  Capacity varies from 11 to 16, with a spare mag for each.
  2. Has an amber alert been issued or in the works?
  3. I see uppers and lowers (which look really cool! :)  ) but no mention of BCG's...  I assume they're coming as well?
  4. Picked it up after work today. It's wrapped and under the tree. ;)
  5. Most of the turkey hunters I know use a red dot. Seems like acquisition would be too slow for waterfowl.
  6.     I used to travel a lot for business.  The company primarily used Hertz and Enterprise.  Hertz was always easy.  Enterprise was ok most of the time but I recall a couple POS cars and really slow service.    Regarding the flat tire...   Don't tell them anything, just take the tire to a local tire place and get it fixed (assuming its fixable).  Most places will plug a tire for $20 or less.
  7. Look!  More free stuff coming over!   BOOM!   A new camera, sweet!     :)
  8.   Agreed.  Its good for TN regardless of residence.  Does nothing for whatever state they may live in though.
  9. The negative things I've read about LaserMax are durability related.  They get banged around significantly being on the guide rod compared to something like a CT laser.  I've never owned one.
  10. Yep. People think "flash to pass" is some massive insult. Spend a couple weeks driving in Europe and then come back here, the difference is astounding.
  11. If you've pulled into the left lane knowing a faster car is coming, make no effort to minimize your time in the left lane, and intentionally impede their progress (by tapping brake lights, etc.) then you're the one who started the obnoxious behavior and it's game on.
  12. Everyone going faster than the speed limit is doing something illegal, that's not my point. If you see a faster car coming up and pull in front of them anyway, it seems common courtesy to speed up and not hinder their progress. If that means accelerating up to 78 or 80 for 10 seconds to complete the pass, fine. Reverse the situation.... You're cruising along in the right lane at 70. The guy leading a line of traffic in the left lane passes you, moves to the right lane, and slows to 65. Now you're stuck behind him and have to slow down. Annoying, right? Same thing.
  13. Been there, crapped my pants when it happened. Sounded like a cannon shot right next to the car. I'm thankful it was the inside dual tire and it didn't immediately disintegrate.
  14. No. The OP stated he saw the car coming at a high rate of speed before pulling into the left lane. Either wait until they pass or make a modest effort to expedite passing the slower car.
  15. Whatever cycles and is accurate. I've got 124's in one and 115's in the other.
  16. Cool. I'd like to try that sometime.
  17. This. Assuming the road ahead was clear, I would've sped up a little and let the guy go. If you move into the left lane, you should match the speed of the existing traffic or get out of the way.
  18. Interesting idea. Dumb, but interesting.
  19. You got a lemon. Send it in and they'll fix it or get a refund.
  20. On a scale of 1-10, pretty much any modern PD round is at least a 9. Pick what cycles reliably and you're fastest and most accurate with.
  21. I went out one time when I first started working. I needed shoes for my new job and got 3 pair of Rockports for under $100. That's the only time I've ever been out. My conclusion is that shipping charges that seem high any other time, are worth it between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  22. Because making it illegal for businesses to invest in technology is just what the economy needs...
  23. I lived about 5 miles from Phipps Bend several years ago. Great place to let the dog run.
