  1. The low cost further makes me think MIM. Good luck with the rebuild. Setting cam timing on a desmo isn't high on my list of fun things to do on a Saturday.
  2. My best guess is it's MIM. The holes are too clean to be as-cast and it clearly isn't forged. The blue color pattern suggests they surface hardened the teeth. I'm not sure about the brown toward the center unless that's dirt or oil staining, though I don't think that's an oil wetted area? Belt dust? Maybe a fit mismatch and the bolt got over-tightened when installed and caused it to split. It doesn't appear to have spent any time running while cracked before it failed, it just popped all at once. Does a magnet stick to it? Does it feel inordinately light for its size? Being a race bike, shaving every ounce of rotating mass is high on the list.
  3. PMS... parked motorcycle syndrome. Post up a pic of the fracture surface. From what I see in the other pic, it looks like it may have been cracked for a while. A cast pulley seems an odd choice, or perhaps it's MIM.
  4. Wow, love that handle on #1.
  5. Isn't that citizen vs subject?
  6. Yes, vid works w/o FB. Can't see much, just a white chevy truck. He'll get his just reward eventually.
  7. Very much this. You're guaranteed to launch a detent into the netherworld at least once. A razor blade is handy for holding them in place.
  8. I emptied my compost bin on my beds and turned them today. I'll till them in a couple weeks. My wife has lots of seedlings going. She transferred a bunch of peppers and tomatoes from the seed starter to solo cups today as well.
  9. I'm not aware that C&R status has any effect on age restrictions.
  10. Frank and Bob wondered why they were an inch shorter the next day.
  11. If you've a small garden, just get corn from the local farmer's market and use the space for other stuff. Corn severely depletes the soil and takes lots of amendments to grow well, which could be why your field isn't especially fertile. As for weeding..... get a good hoe, keep it sharp, and plan to use it 2-4x weekly. I agree that a 5 gal bucket is a bit small for tomatoes. I tried that with some extra seedlings a few years ago and couldn't keep them alive to the point of ripe fruit. They'll need attention almost every day.
  12. A terrible and preventable situation. A 12 and 14 yr old livestreaming on FB at 2am seems unusual to me, but I presume the parents will be in court in the near term. Kids need to be educated on how to handle firearms. As for the wording used..... journalists don't write articles much anymore, reporters do. There's a distinct difference.

    Arthritus

Arthritis is certainly a possibility but what you describe sounds more like nerve inflammation pain to me.
  14. Good news.... https://www.wbbjtv.com/2022/03/23/court-rules-twra-violated-rights-of-benton-county-landowners/
  15. All those storm chaser guys be like....
  16. You might first try just an off-road only dirt bike in that case. Windrock and Royal Blue aren't that far away. Ease in and see how she takes that. When I finished school and got my first job, a wise man told me to make sure I got a bike before I got married (i was engaged), and then never go bikeless. If I wanted something different, get it first, then sell what I had. That's worked out pretty well.
  17. "Reasonably foreseeable misuse" is not a new concept for our legal system. Its been in play for many years in industrial accident litigation where people intentionally or unintentionally bypassed safety systems and got hurt.
  18. The Coker Museum. The Towing & Recovery museum.
  19. Pictures would help.
  20. Just your typical bug out bag. He might make it to the stop sign before dumping half of it.
  21. I do beer can chicken pretty often. I use the mini coke cans we get for the kids. I pull one out of the recycle bin and fill it about half full of beer. I sit the chicken upright in an aluminum pie pan and sit that on the grill. I find that sits there just fine, no need for those pricey stands. I would like to get a rotisserie.
