With honey bees being on the decline, I've thought about getting into bee keeping.  Seems like a fair bit of work, but might be worth it.    I'm not allergic to honey bees and generally find them to be quite docile.  I've never been stung by a bee that I didn't accidentally piss off.  Yellow jackets on the other hand...   :bat:

  While in theory, there's already a moisture barrier between the concrete and your carpet, I would put something like a piece of tyvek house wrap between the safe and the floor.              Up to you...  IMHO, if a thief wants it, they'll get it.  Bolting it down will only slow a dedicated thief down a minute or so.  I think the safe alone would deter the "smash & grab" type, assuming its a big heavy one.  If it was light enough that a couple guys could get it with an appliance dolly, I'd bolt it down.  The doors on some safes can be heavy enough that the safe may be unstable when the door is fully open and it's not bolted down. 

Depends on how heavy the safe is and how easy/difficult it is to move it.  If it's bolted down, jammed full of stuff, and weighs 9000 lbs.... moving it to replace that square of carpet under it can be rather a task.

I remember what you're asking about.  I may remember that the guy was in the Chattanooga area.    That said, any local machine shop with a water jet, laser, or plasma cutter should be able to make one for you.  When I lived near you, I did a significant amount of business with Master Tool & Die in Kingsport.

You guys are working hard to talk me into this.  I've been waiting on their premium mid-length with standard barrel to go on sale for my TGO lower.  They've had the heavy barrel on sale several times, but not the standard.  Somehow putting a PTAC upper on my TGO lower seems wrong.  Decisions, decisions....

    Unless you've got special soaker hoses made specifically for a gravity fed system, they won't work.  Most soaker hoses are made to work off standard house water pressure ... 70 psi or so.  Your barrel will only generate about 2 psi.

    I'm kinda with you...   I carry both a small folder and a Leatherman.  The blade on the folder is 3/4" from spine to edge while the blade on the leatherman is only 5/16" wide.  I find the wider blades to be somewhat unwieldy and because they're so big, I'm more apt to use them as a pry bar.  But the majority of my use for a pocket knife is cutting up an apple.           Yep, that's what I meant and about the dimension I expected. Thanky. 

My best recommendation is to shoot both and pick the one you're most comfortable/accurate with.    How do you intend to carry it and how concerned are you with concealment?  The TCP is clearly a pocket pistol and nearly invisible.... you can buy a phone that's bigger.  The 709 can be a pocket pistol, if you've got big pockets.  Since the 709 is considerably larger, it's likely to be much easier/fun to shoot.         I've found .380 easier to come by than 9mm.  YMMV.

Strange. Looked like she had a retractable leash attached directly to one dog with a simple nylon leash on the other one. I'd like to know what the leash got hung on. Doesn't seem like just the door closing would clamp tight enough to do that? Also didn't look like she saved the dog, looked more like the elevator reached its destination and the doors opened.

How wide is blade at the pivot? Looks pretty beefy. Pocket clip?

My PT145 has been great. I think I've had it for about 10 yrs and carry it fairly regularly.

Give some thought to what you'd do if you ever have to replace that carpet.

While detect a hint of sarcasm... that's really not too far off. Flooding, yes depending on where you live. Doesn't happen often but flash floods are always possible. Meth is everywhere unfortunately. All that said, it's a beautiful area. We lived there for several years and would go back.

    Agreed.  Seems to me that increasing the reciprocating mass in a light weight gun would tend to make for more felt recoil, if anything.   And what KKing said too... if the buffer is slamming into the stop and that's the jolt the shooter is feeling, the gas system needs some attention. 

    So given all that proficiency, diligence, superior performance, and redundancy and such... You think Boeing would intentionally hide not only the fact that said fictitious tracking device exists from the owner of the aircraft, but also that they receive data from it unbeknownst to anyone?   Lying to customers all over the world who paying you upwards of $300 million for an airplane is due dilligence?  Hiding the tracking device so well that the aircraft owner will never find it is superior performance?  Ever seen an airplane go through a d-check?
