  1. Bye Mork. Nanu, nanu. :(
  2. Was he an employee or just another customer?
  3.     Got a Shield9 for the wife, it's a very good choice was well.
  4. If the screen was small enough to keep mosquitoes eggs out, water wouldn't get in. The solution is these or minnows.
  5. :)
  6. I'd go with the LC9... more capacity, easier reloads, better sights, thinner, lighter trigger...       Airweights are perfectly good guns, I just don't like them.  The few I've shot have been awful from a recoil, muzzle blast, and accuracy perspective.
  7.     The plants and critters don't care about the algae.  It's the same as the water they normally drink.    I do suggest you put a mosquito dunk in, especially before you plan to be up there hunting.  Rain barrels are nice, but they're mosquito factories.
  8. Why not just call the local TWRA office and ask?    If you're thoughtful with where you put it, the deer will make paths to/from the water in short order.  Easy enough to set up along the path(s) more than the min distance away.
  9. Try shooting it one handed. I don't have a good explanation but my P3AT has never malfunctioned when I practice one handed, which I do most of the time. I consider it a "get off me" gun and expect my other hand to be occupied so I practice accordingly.
  10. Had a similar problem with water heaters. A project that should have taken a couple hours took all day because the first two had big dents.
  11. From a hunting perspective, seems slings have been replaced by bipods. Some hunters complain about heavy rifles but a sling weighs a lot less and is useful in more positions than prone.
  12. Are you shooting the LCP with one hand or two?
  13. I'm right there with you. It kinda sucks, but as stated it beats the alternative by a mile.
  14. Nice. You suck, just so you know. :)
  15. Wow. :o
  16. Cool new toys. Now about that guitar.... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pzeoLe6nSrU
  17. I don't know of anywhere that would teach sling use other than the military or Appleseed.
  18. Looks good to me like it is. I'm not a big fan of gloss finishes on gun stocks.
  19. I have a hogue slip-on grip on my P3AT and it makes a big difference.
  20. I learned it in a CMP clinic as well, and it certainly helps. But it would seem of only modest use in modern combat. The opportunity to sit relatively still with sustained fire doesn't seem to happen much.
  21. "Join us or die" was around long before the Koran or the Bible. I'd say it originated with the first disagreement between men. Why us and not someone else? With great power comes great responsibility. I don't much care for the idea of going back into the fire, but again, I like the idea of doing nothing even less.
  22. Imagine getting slammed head first into a coral reef. That's why they don't rent them in the US. Those videos look to be filmed in the Caribbean.
  23. Me too. I'm trying to keep my boys that way too, but it's really difficult these days. They already know a few words they shouldn't and we've tried to explain why its not good to use them. When watching tv, the 6 yr old will say, "dad, he used God's name! He shouldn't say that!". No he shouldn't son, no he shouldn't.
  24. I don't disagree, but I also have issue with standing by and watching genocide. They're unable to defend themselves against the might of ISIS. It's what we do, we fight for those who can't fight for themselves. ISIS appears to use the age old method, "join us or die."
