Operations is the people who run production. Yes, they can override QA. They, and everyone else, are slaves to the bean counters. And by bean counters, I mean share holders and/or investors. Apparently the management at Remington didn't want to hear the bad news about the product. Fixing the problems (and product development in general) takes time and costs money, that makes the bean counters unhappy. And when the bean counters ain't happy, nobody's happy. As Garufa says.... My understanding from the OP was that this did happen at an intersection. But yes, there are a bunch of crosswalks not at intersections. The law states all intersections are effectively crosswalks whether they're marked or not and cars must yield to pedestrians. Then it says if the pedestrian is jay walking, the responsibility is on them.

I think you've got to remove the trigger assembly to remove or install the magazine.

Meh.  Neither her looks nor her singing do a thing for me.  I get the impression that she's just another manufactured pop star.  I'd sure like to trade paychecks with her, but I'm not sure all the baggage would be worth it.

Dad was given an old leatherman with broken pliers.  It belonged to his brother-in-law who passed away several years ago.  He sent it back for repair and they sent him a new one since they don't make that model anymore.

My parents had a feature like this on their home phone several years ago. It was exceptionally annoying as it would not recognize mobile numbers. Having no land line, every time I called I had to go through the routine. The other features of google voice sound pretty interesting.

If you want a plastic butt plate, I'd try HDPE or PET.  Nylon, delrin, UHMW, or PTFE (teflon) might also work. 

If the number isn't in my contact list and/or I'm not expecting a call, I don't answer it.  Ever.  If it's important, leave a message.  If it's not important enough to leave a message, I probably didn't want to talk to you anyway. 

What sort of belt do you have?  You might try gluing some felt to the back of the holster.

I had a collections guy call many times looking for the prior holder of my land line number.  Both the collections guy whoever he was looking for appeared to be real schmucks.  We got calls from the guy's kid's doctors to discuss test results and medications, calls from the schools to say the kid wasn't there that day, ... all sorts of stuff.  The collections guy called a bunch of times over the course of several years.  After telling them repeatedly that they had the wrong number, my typical method was to just stick the phone in a drawer and leave it there for a while.  After the collections guy left a series of increasingly nasty and threatening voicemails, I finally called back one day and we had a little chat.  Never heard from them again.
