Once upon a time, when a guy ran his mouth and then got his teeth knocked out for it, the other helped him up, shook his hand and they went about their business.  Now we write books and file lawsuits.  :shrug:     Personally, I think the whole thing is sophomoric at best.  It's what happens when two guys with big egos collide. 

    Be aware that if you spray it and it kills the entire plants on the neighbor's side, they might be pissed.  Have you talked with them about it at all?  I believe you're legally allowed to deal with foliage that over-hangs your property, but I think that's restricted to simple pruning.  Being in a rental may add further complication.  I can't tell the condition of the fence from the pics, but keep in mind that the fence might fall down if you cut all that stuff back.  It's good that you've got pictures of what it looks like now.   A little googling tells me that if you do spray and kill the plants that are rooted on his property, that'd be bad.  I'd just take a pole saw or chainsaw and hack everything on my side.

    Yep.  Or a bow saw and a ladder.  An  $8 bow saw will cut through stuff up to 3-4" in a minute or two.  I trim one of my neighbor's trees routinely.  When I have to duck to keep from whacking my head while mowing, it's time to prune again. 

  Yep.   We try to vote in people who share our ideals about various topics of interest.  But it's very hard to find someone who agrees you on every significant issue.  I'll be honest and say I don't really care what the candidates personal opinions are on anything.  His/her personal opinion shouldn't matter in the slightest.  The majority opinion of the constituents is what matters.    I've read a number of times that various elected representatives stated something to the effect ..."I couldn't in good conscious vote for/against _____"  That's total BS.  I don't give a crap what your conscious says... that's not your job.  Your job is to do what the majority of your constituents tell you to.  Period.  If you can't do that you're not representing them anymore, you're representing yourself.  And when that happens, the only ethical thing to do is resign.  But when did ethics have anything to do with politics...?

So you've been dating for 10 years, since you were both teenagers.  How long have you been engaged?  If more than 1 year, bail.  Neither of you has the commitment necessary.  People who want to get married get engaged, make wedding plans, and get married, typically in less than a year.  People who aren't sure stay engaged for a long time and talk about getting married some day.    Both of you need to go live life for a while (at least a couple years) and learn what its like to be an independent adult.  Maybe you'll get back together later after you've both grown up a bit, maybe not.  Counseling is a waste of time/money at this point. 

    Exhaust... yep.  WFO (Wide Friggin' Open).  Honestly I don't run my weed eater wide open all the time, the vibration gets to my hands after a while.  What I do is use it normally, then when I'm done I hold the throttle wide open for 10-15 seconds then cut the ignition.  I have removed the exhaust and cleaned the carbon build-up out of it once in about 10 years.  But it was running fine at the time, I had it apart anyway as I learned that cleaning the engine with a pressure washer was a bad idea....  :doh:   I don't drain the fuel for storage, I fill them all the way up.  Gasoline breaks down in the presence of air so if the tank is completely full, there's very little air present to cause the gas to degrade.  And that's with 100% gas and stabil.    Newer equipment will necessarily have smaller orifices in the carbs than older stuff.  The new stuff runs on a leaner oil mix 50:1 and run leaner in general for emissions reasons.  Older stuff has bigger holes and is less likely to gum up.   In addition to the Berryman carb cleaner recommendation, an ultrasonic cleaner can help a lot to clear gunk from the tiny holes.  Just be aware that ultrasonic cleaning will erode the aluminum housings so be judicious with how much you use it.    As for using wire to clean the holes.... do that very carefully.  If you push a wire that's 0.011" in diameter through a hole that's 0.010", you've just enlarged the hole by 10% and that will have an effect on how the engine runs.  I prefer to use carb cleaner and compressed air (and safety glasses!).  A bristle from a nylon brush is much less likely to do any harm. 

    Agreed.  I try to be an informed voter, but that's really hard to do when there's very little information out there on any of the candidates save the big names.  Seems very odd to me that someone running for a public office doesn't create a simple website with some basic info on it.  Or maybe my google-fu is broken.  I'm leaning toward the whole "boot the incumbents" idea, but I'd really like to know who I'm voting in before I vote them out.  The next guy might be worse...    :shrug:  

Carry the P22 as well? Meh. I wouldn't sweat it. A little situational awareness goes a long way. You might try ankle carry or one of those holster undershirt things.

What lowpower said. 100% gas too. Generally, 2-strokes are meant to run at one speed... WFO. If run at half throttle, he exhaust will coke up to the point that it restricts flow so much the engine won't run anymore. It can also help to run the fuel mix with more oil. Most newer ones run on 50:1... Try 40:1 instead. It'll run cooler.

Pan fried catfish or tilapia...      1. Preheat a pan with some oil, preferably olive, sunflower or canola oil.  Don't need a lot of oil, just enough to cover the whole bottom of the pan maybe 1/8th inch deep.  I can't tell you a temp... just put a pinch of cornmeal in the oil and when it sizzles nicely, it's ready. 2. Dip the fillets in milk, the richer the better.  Buttermilk is best. 3. Coat fillets liberally with corn meal.  4. Put them in the oil and cook until golden brown, maybe 5-8 minutes per side. Be careful here... if the oil is too hot, it'll pop and burn the crap outa you.  5. Take them out and lay them on a plate with a couple paper towels to soak up the excess oil.  Season to taste... Slap Ya Momma is my favorite.     Grilled salmon....   1. Pre-heat grill just like you would for a steak. 2. Brush salmon lightly with olive oil, both sides.  Dust the top with seasoning of your choice.  I like garlic & herbs. 3. Lightly brush the grill grate with oil and grill skin side down.  When the edges start to look done (6-10 mins) and a milky white fluid appears on the top, flip it for a minute or two to sear the top.  Flipping it can be touchy if the skin sticks to your grill, be careful else you'll destroy the fish. Otherwise the skin should peel right off.    I've also got an excellent marinade for meaty fish like salmon or tuna.  It's got cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce but I can't remember it off the top of my head.      And on this topic.... home-made tartar sauce....   Combine 2 tbsp mayo, 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish, and 1-2 tbsp horseradish sauce depending on how hot you like it.  Mix thoroughly.  Can also add some other seasonings if you like.

What Dave said.  Great progress has been made in recent years and I think the ammo/gun bans are in retaliation for it.  Besides, bitching on the interwebs is what you do these days.  Getting off the couch and doing something is so...  70's.  ;)

That would be nice, but if it's not practical then there's not much you can do. The .25 isn't the greatest choice but a .25 in your pocket is better than a .50 in the sock drawer at home. If it's reliable and you trust it, fine. Something like a Shield would be better but if I had the same options as you, I'd do exactly the same thing. I also suspect you're over thinking the printing issue, but if you're uncomfortable then that just makes it that much more obvious.

I doubt the gun industry is any different than anything else anymore. I've had 3 engineering jobs in 3 different industries and seen it happen in all 3.

+1 to what batman and sidewinder said. I work in aviation, most folks are more than happy to share their passion. Dad took me flying when I was a kid and I loved it... still do. We never owned an airplane and we quit going when renting got too expensive. I'll ask around at work and see if anyone might be able to help you out. Operations is the people who run production. Yes, they can override QA. They, and everyone else, are slaves to the bean counters. And by bean counters, I mean share holders and/or investors. Apparently the management at Remington didn't want to hear the bad news about the product. Fixing the problems (and product development in general) takes time and costs money, that makes the bean counters unhappy. And when the bean counters ain't happy, nobody's happy. As Garufa says....
