  1. www.tngunowners.com    duh.      :)
  2. My hound of the baskervilles will bark ferociously while running the other way.   Actually, she tends to hover just out of reach while barking.  I've seen her snap aggressively when challenged by strangers.  The annoying part is she won't stop barking.
  3. I guess mine's been dumb luck then.  I haven't tested anything, I just did what the guy I got the fish from told me to do.  When I introduced the fish, we also moved a bucket full of "live rock" from the old tank (big rocks, not gravel).
  4. I've made similar observations in some of the stuff my Mom and Grandma knitted.  The only difference is the medium... paracord instead of yarn.  You can get all manner of cool looking patterns for that kind of stuff online or at a fabric store.  Most of the knitting patterns come with detailed instructions on how to do it.  Heck, some adaptation of knitting needles might make the paracord stuff a lot easier.
  5.     Yes.  If you're awake and semi-coherent, you'll do fine.  While going through the material, the instructors certainly wouldn't do anything silly like say loudly and repeatedly "THIS IS A TEST QUESTION.  YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS."
  6. Our tank ran for about 2 weeks with no fish but with gravel, rocks, and uncleaned filters   :yuck:   from their original tank before we moved the fish.  It seems to have worked well.  The water stayed clear and the fish seem fine.
  7.     This.  Cookeville proper is getting really busy.  It's WAY outgrown it's road system and traffic can be terrible (for a small town).  But you don't have to get far out of town to find a peaceful country setting.
  8. Exactly, with "openly" being the key word. As others have stated, plenty of private clubs discriminate against all manner of types of people. They just aren't obvious about it. All this chick wants is her 5 minutes, and she's gonna get it.
  9. If it requires more than 10 minutes of study and/or practice, you're doing something wrong.
  10.     I've read a number of comments that said it was better to let them be hungry rather than clean up the mess left from those.     Having someone come over and feed them a couple times shouldn't be a big deal.
  11. What's the saying ....   Better to have people think you're a bigot than open your mouth and prove it.
  12.     I've been reading a lot to that effect as well.  If I can get someone to come over and feed them a couple times during the week, it seems that should suffice.  I do have one tiny little fish that I have some concern for.  I plan to give it a good vacuuming, which will result in another 5 gal water change a couple days before leaving.
  13. Cool. Thanky.
  14. Given that it's discriminatory and unconstitutional, it won't last long.
  15. Vacation feeding?  We'll be gone for a week in the near future.  Its possible to get someone to come over and feed them, but I'm curious if there's easier/better options?
  16. Yep, dig the patina.  That really sets it off.
  17. While the USPS's existence guaranteed by the Constitution, in 1971 the USPS became an independent agency of the government and is neither taxpayer funded nor under direct governmental control. USPS employees do not work for the federal government. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Postal_Service
  18. Supposedly it takes time. The detergent removes the waxy coating and they dehydrate.
  19. Good point. Though with bow hunting there will be no noise to alert the neighbors. Better make sure you're a good shot.
  20. this is Tennessee...
  21. Congrats! I hope I get to retire one day.
  22. Awesome. You should make a Viking sword. ;)
  23. I agree. Bow hunting should be no issue with permission.
  24. Welcome!
