True. No ethanol in anything with a carb, ever. I learned that the hard way. Twice. It's not road legal so no FS roads. The suspension isn't great but can be upgraded. So it depends on how fast you want to go. My bike has very basic suspension and i use it as a hint to slow down. When it starts bouncing me around, I'm probably going faster than I should be. You can swap sprockets and gear it down if you don't like how well it climbs.

If all you want to do is trail ride, it'll be great. Rear drum brake is fine, you should only use it when creeping down steep slopes or lock it to make the rear slide. The front is doing 80% of the work. Carbs are perfectly good. Troubles only arise when someone who thinks they know what they're doing start messing with them.

We've got bald eagles that come fish in the pond just down the road. Went it rains enough to fill up the retention ponds, they'll check those out too.

I've smoked salmon a few times, it's really good. Normally I don't do much to it, just a little salt. This is a good marinade for any meaty type of fish.... salmon, Mahi, tuna, swordfish.. Hope you can read my hand writing.

My wife has seen a few. She gets very excited when they appear.

Or any other random day the MIS guys decide to create some work for themselves.

Have no fear, that cool breeze will disappear in no more than 3 weeks and not return until November.

Glad she's headed in the right direction. God is good! A friend's mom nearly died and required open heart surgery because of a tooth infection. The infection got in her blood and ruined a heart valve, which had to be replaced.

European Starlings are a non-native destructive species according to TWRA and can be killed if found to be causing damage and you're the landowner. ... https://www.tn.gov/twra/law-enforcement/wildlife-damage-control.html Being annoying doesn't classify as damage and the OP isn't the landowner. And it'll likely piss off the neighbors.

The double was from 15 years ago when we bought the house. If values continue to climb at that rate, then I suppose that would be appropriate. I doubt they'll go up that much more, I expect the rate of increase to slow down a bit now that mortgage rates are up.

My boys and I are in the process of fixing this up. My wife's granddad bought it new. It's been sitting in his garage for several years. Problem #1 was no brake lights. Took me 3 weeks to find a loose connector under the dash. Next is non-functional power windows and a miss at idle. I'd love to put an LS in it, but that's way down the road. The 4.3/700R4 should run nearly forever. It's got 98k on it now.

There's way too many of them for you to make a dent with a pellet rifle (which will kill them just fine). I suspect you'll end up with more trouble than it's worth. We have lots of starlings on our feeders too. I just shoo them off when there's a bunch. If it's just a few, the other birds don't seem affected.

Got ours in Blount Co. last week and it doubled as well. Based on current home prices, its not far off.

My youngest (12) was a smart arse to mom yesterday, so she banned him from screens today. When I got home from work, he was quick to trumpet all the useful things he'd accomplished with his time. Seemed like there was a bit of recognition here. Small victories.

The fact that we think we'd need to legislate this tells you all you need to know about the state of parents, kids, and business in America.

Journalism is nearly dead. News media people just can't/won't put in the time necessary to do proper research. I read the USAToday, it seems less inflammatory than some. A lot of their editorials can be rather left, but I usually skip those. I very rarely read anything political. I also read the BBC. The British perspective on US events can be interesting, and they cover world events without the US political slant. I don't do any social media or TV news programs.

A few feet if you want to watch them fight over the feeders. I have 2 about 6 feet apart in the back and 1 by itself in the front. Nectar is 4:1 water to sugar by volume. The water only has to be warm enough to make the sugar dissolve. Once temps are in the mid 80s, it only lasts 3-5 days before going rancid. Highly recommend some sort of ant moat to keep them out.

Be patient. It can take a few weeks for the birds to find them and start using them. It's also breeding season so they're eating more bugs than nectar, they need the protein for their young.

This. Its really fast steel wool. Car wax is a good idea. I usually just wipe down with a lightly oiled rag. We were at my wife's granddads house yesterday doing yard work (he's 97). He's got a few hand tools in need of similar attention.

I try to avoid the rain as well, and I agree on the rain gear. If it's the usual summer showers, it's better to just get a little wet than go sous vide in the rain gear. Once the shower passes, you'll be dry again pretty fast. Riding in the wet will also make you a smoother rider. Decent tires provide a lot more grip than most people think in the wet, just gotta be smooth.

Since I'm getting old, I increased the font size default on my phone so its easier to read. The font size in this window while I type is noticeably larger than it was before. But once I post it, the font reverts back to the original smaller size, as are all the other posts in the thread. Some folks with unique fonts are different sizes, but the default is still pretty small. The typical zoom with 2 fingers thing doesn't work. Ideas?

October may be too late, but I think you're good for now.

Dragonflies breed in still or slow moving water and eat bugs. So you need a nearby pond and neighbors who don't spray their yard with insecticide.

Wish they'd taken a picture and released it. I bet that fish was old.

My wife saw one at our house this afternoon.
