  1.     I an email today from Midway with SS109 at $550/1000.  Up $150 from a month ago.     :shake:
  2. Seen that one before.  Fake I believe.  Notice how the balls bounce off the back stop with very little energy in the first couple shots.  Then the last one comes flying back at full speed?  I don't think so.
  3. Firefox.  I replaced AVG with MS Security Essentials.  CCleaner.   Run CCleaner after uninstalling all the useless crap that comes pre-installed.
  4.     Pretty much this.    I'm also left handed and right eye dominant.  I grew up shooting right handed guns left handed.  As the astigmatism in my left eye has gotten a little worse, I see better out of my right eye with my contacts.  That combined with the fact that it's basically a right handed world convinced me to switch to shooting right handed.  Being left handed in a right handed world pretty much forces you to be somewhat ambidextrous anyway.  While I'm still more comfortable shooting rifles left handed, the switch isn't that hard.  He'll get used to it.
  5. H&R Block software for the past 10 years or so. I have a family and a house but few other complications. The software is quick and easy. Took me about 45 mins this year and I got my refund back in about 3 weeks.
  6. Yep. A mag loader can help mash the rounds in there.
  7. I drove to Nashville and back over the weekend too. I didn't think I-40 was that bad considering the recent weather. What astounded me was all the trees across the plateau. Looked like it got hit by a hurricane.
  8. Welcome!
  9. Nice pics folks! Here's a couple of my favorites...
  10.     That's one of the reasons why I enjoy riding at a "spirited" pace.  It requires focus such that all other things must go away.  Having a singular focus, if only for a few minutes, is cathartic.  Those moments are important, more so in today's over-stimulated society.
  11. Do you get better groups without the sled? (bags, bench, bipod, ...)   How much do you have to adjust the sled between shots?
  12.     I was at that show too.  That was the only time I've seen Godsmack live and they were darn good.
  13. Wish I could. Should be a great show.
  14. Mine came 3-4 months before expiration. Renewal time was less than a month, mailbox to mailbox.
  15. What several others have said... Let your insurance agent deal with their insurance agent. That's what you pay them for.
  16. Welcome!  I lived in Church Hill for about 8 years before I moved here.
  17. Do you want the fence removed? If so, make a stink. If not, let it ride.
  18. We've got 7-8" on the ground now. The roads in the city were mostly just wet. Getting to the city limit was the fun part. I had to put the blazer in 4wd for the last 3ft of my commute. I got about half way into the parking spot before it wouldn't go anymore... forward or backwards. That's the brace under the hood. It blocks some of the heat from the engine so the snow sticks there first. Doesn't take but a degree or two to make a difference.
  19. I don't know the torque required to say if the stress would cause it to be damaged by tightening. However, Aluminum nut on aluminum threads will stick horribly and gall. Use anti-seize.
  20. And it's snowing. Again. Yay.
  21.     I also prefer a less conspicuous mag pouch like the Bianchi.  I use what's intended to be a phone pouch for one size and a generic Bass Pro pouch for the other.  I think they both were about $5.  Any sort of generic knife/tool/phone type pouch works fine.  Certainly not as fast to access as the open top kind, but I prefer better concealment.
  22.     I feel dumb for not thinking of this...   If the yardages are known, then the correct elevation is but a few clicks away.           I use the terms hold-over and KY windage interchangeably.  Perhaps that's not entirely correct.
  23. Wear safety glasses.  Isopropyl alcohol works quite well as a cutting fluid for aluminum with no oily mess to clean up afterwards.  I'd try to rig up some way to hold the dremel/drill steady... something you can hold it up against when moving back/forth.  I strongly recommend using a real end mill instead of drill bit.  They're both sharper and more rigid.  You can get one for under $20... http://www.mcmaster.com/#8918a27/=w2aik3
  24. Me too, except I used rocks or BB's. I recall coming close to hitting one or two. I'd like to get another one... After all, I need another hobby...
  25. Hope you heal up fast. I'm only a little younger than you and I fuss at my parents regularly about keeping their phones on their person when out for that very reason.
