  1.     How old was this child?  I don't think Roman numerals are introduced until 3rd or 4th grade, and I wouldn't be surprised that a child wouldn't immediately recognize that's what they are.
  2. I'm also in the process of working up a list for a personal property policy.  My homeowners, cars, and motorcycle are all through State Farm.  I called my agent and asked for the details of the coverage through my homeowners....  $2500 max total, $1500 max per individual, with a ~$1000 deductible.  My collection isn't extensive my any means, but that's not even close.  So I too am compiling a list of guns, jewelry, art, musical instruments, etc.   I'm not real fond of having to document everything, but it's a necessary evil.
  3. Probably a chart recorder. Typically used to record temp & humidity. http://www.dicksondata.com/products/find/chart-recorder
  4.     Chicken tractor.  Google has educated me.  Fascinating.
  5. I'll agree with OS's ID.    http://tennessee.gov/twra/pdfs/snakesposter.pdf
  6. Related to this, I found this video very interesting. http://www.fallen.io/ww2/
  7. Regarding typical .223 penetration...   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/88119-alabama-elk/#entry1276075
  8. Perhaps it rattles when they exercise?  It distracts them from Lady Gaga blaring through their ear buds.
  9.     What?!?  Settle something without guns and lawyers?!?   In the USA?!?    :dropjaw:    :panic:          Why, that'd be... just plain unAmerican.  :shake:      :)
  10. Define over penetration? A rifle bullet moving 3000ft/s is gonna penetrate a lot before anything inside a normal house will stop it.
  11. Depends on the laws in that state. Some states have an "obligation to retreat" type law, which neither did in this case.
  12. Indeed... here's what he's made for me.
  13. Remember this guy...? Check this out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSVJIoZDhFI
  14.     I'd tend to agree with this.  My house is also 2000 sqft (all on one level) and I get decent signal in my driveway and on the back patio.  I think I have a Linksys router as well... I had to buy a new one a couple years ago but don't remember what I bought.   I also had to add a wireless card to my PC.  I got an external antenna for it just to ensure high signal strength.  The PC is a good 30 ft from the router, across 2 interior walls.
  15. Aluminum has a rather low melting point...About 1250 F. A propane torch or hot open fire will do it.
  16. Haven't tried it, but I feel sure it'll penetrate unless it impacts at a very shallow angle.
  17. Dig the dye job on the sheath. Nice knife too. ;)
  18. :USA: Thanks to all who serve.
  19. That was exceedingly bizarre.
  20. Pics or it didn't happen. :)
  21. Try copy/paste instead of drag and drop.
  22. Sometimes it's better that people think you're an idiot, rather than opening your mouth and proving it.    Moron.
  23. I'm glad I live in a place where I don't need a traffic app.
  24.     Yep.   Man... 28k miles and these tires are shot.  They're total crap!  I'm never buying them again!  Did you get the alignment checked?  No.  Do you check the air pressure monthly?  No.  Do you get them rotated?  No.   Gee... I can't imagine why they wore out so fast...   :shake:
