  1. Nice collection.    The pesky "check twice to make sure it's unloaded before you pull the trigger" strikes again.  Glad the muzzle was pointed in a good direction.
  2. At least you have a door. And actual walls. And a window. I've never had any of those.
  3. WASR or a Zastava. Early WASR's had some issues, but anything from the last 6-8 years is good.
  4. Give that the local, multi state title winning, school mascot is the rebels... I don't see it going away here any time soon.
  5.     Correct, none of the Yugo models have chrome lined barrels (Mauser, SKS, AK, etc.)  The former Yugoslavia doesn't have chromium ore deposits, hence no chrome plating.
  6. So you don't want a shooting sling, you want a carrying strap, right?   What size is the stud?  How is the gas block attached to the barrel?   Really though... I can't imagine you'd do any harm without doing something you already know you shouldn't do (like use it to tow your bug out trailer).
  7. I suspect they'll be along. A new thread titled "make me a holster" might work. ;) Else you could do a search for past threads. gjohnsoniv made a leather one for me, unfortunately he's the only one I can remember
  8. Get one of the holster makers here to make you one. There's several and they all do good work.
  9. Purdy!!
  10. Sounds like CZ's got you covered.    As for the 18-55.... you might try cleaning it.  They get cruddy with use, regardless of whether you've been in a "dirty" environment.    Me being me, I'd try to use it as an excuse to upgrade to a better lens.  The "nifty fifty" is a great intro to prime lenses.  Using one takes a little more forethought, but can produce excellent results.  There's a handful of similar but higher quality lenses in that same zoom range.  Some can be really pricey, but you generally get what you pay for.  I surf the B&H Photo used dept to get a little reality check on prices.
  11. If what he said didn't help, the first place I'd call is Predator Custom Shop.  Well... they're the 2nd place I'd call.  I'd probably call Dolomite first.
  12. A plate can be illegally mounted and still be legible. For example, this is illegal in TN (don't know about CO). It's too low to the ground, it's too far inboard from the rear of the bike, it's mounted vertically, and it's not lighted. Disregarding the law, its also a really stupid place to put it.
  13. Good margaritas require a very generous helping of good tequlia.  Don Julio, Herradura, ....
  14. We were there on saturday. Went a couple miles up Middle Prong to the old car....
  15. Bet it was quite startling when he first overtook the car. Bet it sounded really cool too. Would make me wish I had a fast car that could give the chopper a run for its money.
  16. Welcome.  Holler if you have questions.
  17.     Laws that make sense?
  18. Sucko!
  19. I would say yes, got mistakenly left on the truck.  I'd guess the Philly to Memphis is a standing route where the same truck just drives back/forth every day.
  20.     Agreed.   I bet he gets his peepee whacked for it.
  21. How does a fist fight end up in court?  What a weenie.  :shake:   However, there's no reason they can't have a formal ceremony at a date/time/place of their choosing with all the accessories.
  22. If fed from an underground waterway, 60 deg is a pretty good bet.    Cold water?  Try most any of the rivers in the Smokies.  Most stay in the mid 50's, even in July/August.  Brrrrrr.
  23. .... Or get Spots make you one. I'd bet you'll sweat a little trying to break one of his. ;)
  24. If you say no, I'll bet you're rather likely to see the business end of his gun. And probably a few of his friends. Not being forthcoming with regard to being armed would likely have a similar end result should the officer find out unexpectedly. That said, the safest place for a gun is in its holster. The one time I've been pulled over while carrying went very similar to yours. He asked where it was, I told him, and he said leave it there and keep your hands on the steering wheel. Yes sir.
  25. I like medium rare too, but only if I know where the cow came from. I typically order medium when out, but I don't get steak very often. I'd rather cook it myself.
