  1. Yep. If you're gonna go, go big. If I'm gonna get in trouble (and there's no way out of it), I'm darn sure gonna deserve it.
  2. You make aircraft parts? We fix turbine engines. And yes to what you and Caster said about CNC, CAD, etc. That's pure marketing.
  3. Christmas music.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SIgoOP3qUhE https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-TSKcNlX7_o https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PL9CYJu5A-AiO0gd5uNiGxxSb653m-nWnV&params=OAFIAVgN&v=9k3qZvDRxho&mode=NORMAL
  4. I believe the talking point surrounds the idea that in the highly unlikely event you use your firearm in self defense, some ambulance chasing lawyer will try to claim that your personal reloads were somehow "more deadly" than factory ammo.  The idea being that you loading your own defensive ammo might, in some twisted, nonsensical way, be some form of premeditation that some bleeding heart juror might grab on to.
  5. I've been considered getting cameras for a while now and have been doing a bit of reading.  It does sound like something's wrong with your neighbor's system.  Is the resolution set really low?   As for the sign... I think a "smile for cameras" sign will deter only those smart enough to read it before hand.
  6. Yep, that'll have to be removed.  In general, the DIY kits that don't require a respirator aren't worth doing.  The good stuff is expensive for a reason.
  7. Within your budget... Beretta Neos.  Looks weird, shoots good.
  8.     Indeed.  Taylor's are nice.
  9. I much prefer the elliptical type trainers over a treadmill.  We've got both an elliptical trainer and treadmill in our make-shift little gym at work, both Nordic brand, and they work fine.  The elliptical has had some issues with the sensor that tells it you're moving, but its been a simple fix.
  10. Nice. The muzzle doesn't rise at all, do anything special to achieve that?
  11. I'm left handed and play (really poorly) right handed simply due to guitar availability. If he's gonna stick with left handed, he's pretty much gonna have to order guitars online and then do the buy/sell/trade routine until he finds one he likes.
  12. How old are your kids? If they're young, why not get them their first rifle or pistol (or both). I think most would agree that while something nice/expensive is always good, sentimental value is priceless.
  13. double tap.
  14. Cool idea. The plates you've ordered are pretty heavy. You might could design in a spring assist or counter-weight that could be connected so it functions properly with smaller calibers.
  15. I got conned into visiting the 4th circle of hell a couple years ago. I believe the doors say something to the effect of "no weapons". Not a legal posting as I recall, but the intent is clear.
  16. I'd cook it low at 250 or less until the internal temp is 150--ish. Then I'd wrap it in foil and a couple old blankets or towels and put it in a cooler for several hours so it cools very slowly. Be sure to let the leg thaw all the way up to room temp, all the way to the bone, before you start cooking.
  17. Happy turkey day folks!
  18.     I've been asked that too.  My response was... "and then what?"  Then I thought about it for a minute and said, "I bet you're not a very good pool player."  The confused look confirmed that.
  19.     Four Roses, Elijah Craig, Knob Creek, ... even Gentleman Jack.    I've never had Bulleit but also didn't really care for Woodford.  Honestly, the best inexpensive whiskey I've found is Bushmills.
  20. Interesting. That's like the "through the scope" shot.
  21. One of each, two of several, three of some....
  22. Thank you to the frequent flyers for helping to keep me employed. Just keep your eyes open and stay aware. And use lots of hand sanitizer.
  23. Yep, those are just mice/voles.  I have (had) them too.  I caught about a dozen in traps in my garage over a weekend about a month ago.  They haven't been back.    When using poison, please keep in mind that there's other beneficial critters (foxes, hawks, owls, ...)  that eat all these little rodents.  If they eat a poisoned mouse, they die too.  And, you never can tell where they'll die and you may have to endure the smell or go cutting holes in places to find them.
  24. We've got a pair of Dick's house brand 10x binoc's... Field & Stream, I think. They're pretty good for relatively inexpensive optics. I compared them to several higher end models in the store and they were darn close. The $500 ones are darn nice, but not worth it for my purposes.
