  1.     What part of bisquick can you not eat?
  2. Yes, clearly a machinist made that.  It shows.
  3. Are you certain it wasn't there before?   The top bore picture looks like build-up, probably lead or copper.  Harder to tell in the 2nd pic.  But I'd do as Omega suggests and let it soak and work on it with a brush to see what changes.    As for the rest of it.  I'd soak the whole thing in some oil, gently remove the surface rust, warm it up and let it sit with a light coat of oil for a while to see if the corrosion continues.  If not, it's probably fine.  If so, I'd do that a couple more times before resorting to something like cerakote.
  4.     I'd prefer dessert myself, I'm not fond of the taste of sand.  ;)
  5. Breathing air causes cancer.  100% of people who have cancer also breathe air.  Stop breathing, stop cancer.  Simple.                In no way do intend for my sarcasm to detract from those who've battled cancer, it's a horrible disease.  I'm just being a smartass.  :)
  6. Anybody who can just roll out of bed and play like this... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=grBmQwLSlDw
  7. Welcome!
  8. Sweet!  Snagged one with 10 minutes left.  Wish I could've gotten more than one.
  9. Looks like fun.    A friend of mine was shooting at an indoor range several years ago.  The guy next to the wall was shooting a Desert Eagle with similar fire-ball results.  After a particularly enthusiastic mag dump, they noticed the entire wall was on fire and it was slowly rolling across the floor.  Seems the DE unleashed enough heat to light off the powder residue.  They ran for the door to get an employee and found one standing at the back.  His nonchalant reaction... "Yeah, I saw that.  It'll burn itself out in a second or two.  The ventilation will clear the smoke in a minute."   They were somewhat incredulous and he was basically... meh, it happens.
  10. Either a camper shell type or a snap-on/fold-up type cover.  The one-piece flat bed covers are for people that never use the bed.
  11. That's pretty much exactly how my wife makes them.  Hot sausage for us, mild for the kids and her family.
  12.     FTFY.  :)     Replacing brake fluid annually is compulsory on the bike.  I'd change it 2-3 times/yr when I rode the sport bike in anger.            Good point.  DOT 3 and 4 are interchangeable.  DOT 5 is not.  Do not put DOT 5 in a system designed for DOT 3 or 4.

    Cheap Thrills

Define "best".   Most accurate?   Most reliable?  Most powerful?
  14.     Given that the .22LR and 9mm are nearly the same velocity, I'd expect a 25 yd zero to be nearly the same.  Honestly, I'd expect the 25 yd zero to be nearly the same for just about any caliber.  There simply isn't time for the bullet to move much in the 0.030 - 0.060 seconds between the muzzle and the target.
  15. Ok, so who else had to google "Chatoyance"?   :D   Nice work!
  16. Welcome!   Old milsurps rule.  :)
  17. I've only ever done cars the old fashioned way.  In my experience the mityvac kits don't work worth a crap on cars with ABS.  They won't pull enough vacuum to move the fluid through all the ABS plumbing, particularly all the way to the back brakes.  Every time I've tried one I've had to go back and bleed them again the old fashioned way a couple days later.  They work good for motorcycles, cars not so much.
  18. If anybody local needs bottles, I'd be happy to provide some.  I've recently lost my recycling option so I've got nothing to do with them but trash them, and I don't like doing that.    I've thought about getting into brewing my own for a while, but it seems like it's just one more hobby I won't have time for.
  19. Glad to see the change but I hope they don't move away from iron sights completely.
  20. Assuming insurance is relatively inexpensive, I'd keep it.  It's paid for and doesn't cost much just sitting there.  Drive it to work twice a month or so to keep it up.  Go play in the dirt every now and then.  Every good girl likes getting dirty, from time to time.  ;)
  21.   Truth.  Painful, but true.
  22. In that case it might simply be tire imbalance.  No harm in having them rebalanced.    I got new wheels/tires for my utility trailer that supposedly came off a boat trailer.  It shook so bad at 40mph I thought it was gonna come off the hitch.  I took the wheels off and to a tire shop.  The tech put it on the balancer and couldn't get a reading.  He took the wheel off and checked the machine thinking something was wrong with it.  The tire was so far out of balance it kept shutting the machine off before the cycle was complete.  He took all the weights off, rebalanced them and they run smooth as glass now.
  23. Great test report.... and pretty good ammo prices too.
  24.     You say that because you know how to do rocket surgery....     Seriously tho....  If it was a tire imbalance it would continue to get worse as speed increases.  A wobble only in a specific speed range is a harmonic resonance somewhere in the chassis and re-balancing tires won't fix it.   Given how common it appears to be with Dodge trucks (based on Caster's response), its likely a combination of several things... slightly worn ball joints, suspension bushings, or struts.... wheel bearing races not exactly where they should be, brake rotors dragging (as monkeylizard suggests), tires slightly out of round, ... or any combination thereof.
  25. Cool stuff, thanks!
