It's the angry beavers at Century... not gorillas. ;) I didn't see anything in that video that had anything to do with cast vs. forged. And you realized that anything that's forged is also cast first, right? Forging can improve the mechanical properties, but it won't compensate for a crappy casting. It's not the panacea that some folks like advertise it as.

I think a handgun should come with 1-2 magazines with the option of buying 2-4 more at a significant discount at the time of purchase.

Cool project. A friend of mine does that sort of work, but he's here.

I'd buy the one that I shoot the most accurately and quickly at self defense distances. Of your list, I'd guess that would be the ruger.

Mmmmmm.... turkey leg.

The Tony Chachere's seasoning are yummy. Tricks to keeping it from drying out.... 1. Don't over cook it. 2. Cook it breast down. 3. Don't over cook it. 4. Use an oven bag. 5. Don't over cook it.

Since we're sharing.... I've never brined a turkey. Step 1 is making darn sure the bird is completely thawed before you start, and you really want the whole bird at nearly room temp before you put it on the smoker. I rub mine down with olive oil and maybe some herbs of some sort, quarter and onion and an apple and stuff inside, and put it on the smoker breast down. If you've never done one before, I'd suggest starting with a small-ish bird at 12-14 lbs. Mine typically smoke for 8-12 hrs, depending on the size of the bird and the ambient temp. I put a mixture of cheap beer, water, and apple juice in the water pan. And since the smoker's going, may as well fill it up.... :yum:

Better than the fried turkeys I've had. They were good, but smoked is better. ;)

Good: seeing a couple practicing like that. Bad: she's crossing her feet when moving sideways instead of shuffling.

It'll be the best turkey you've ever had. I smoke a whole turkey or turkey breast 3-4 times/yr.

Really Hopeful Video about training... from The Blaze
peejman replied to Peace's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Good stuff there. Especially them offering the training for free. Someone posted this video of similar training in an office environment. I can't find the source at the moment, but i thought it was pretty well done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2tIeRUbRHw&app=desktop -
Why is hollow point ammo more expensive than FMJ?
peejman replied to jgradyc's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
While I'm certain the margin on defense ammo is significantly higher than plinking ammo, manufacturers also spend millions developing the details of the bullet and even more millions on the manufacturing processes to make them. Defensive ammo isn't made on 50 year old machinery that's long since paid for. All that gets rolled into the cost of the product. As for the .308 vs .338 cost difference.... volume. Economies of scale. They probably make 1000x more .308 cartridges than .338. The .338 uses larger brass and more powder, both of which add to the cost. The machinery making .308 ammo runs 24/7/365. It never stops unless something goes wrong. The machinery making .338 ammo also makes .416, .444, and a whole host of other "boutique" calibers. It stops and starts all the time, tooling has to be changed out, machines adjusted and reset for each different caliber. All that takes lots of time (unproductive time) and people to do it, which costs money. All that cost gets rolled into the price of the ammo. -
I've read that about basically any poultry.... don't rinse it. All you're doing is splattering the bacteria all over you and your kitchen. As for leaving the deer hanging for a while... sounds like the same thing as "aged" beef. And it's not like you're gonna eat it raw, it gets cooked so it seems like it would have to be literally rotting before it would be too far gone to eat. Though I can see that a professional processor wouldn't want to mess with it just for fear of liability.

Colion Noir makes an awesome statement

 Meh. She ain't all that. And she dated Beiber. That alone exempts her of all credibility for anything forever. -
Saw a Tennessee guy shootin on t.v. last night!
peejman replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
I saw that too. Never heard of him before that, but was neat to see. Loved how he picked on Irvine for being so short. :D -
If it's not a nuisance animal that's eating your chickens or something, I'd leave them be. Foxes are voracious predators when it comes to mice, moles, snakes, chipmunks, etc.

In. Best Christmas movie for grown-ups.
