For really stubborn dogs, the wireless version works better as it continues to zap them until they return. The wired version only zaps them when they're close to the wire. And +1 to the trencher. Tell the equipment rental folks what you're doing and they'll tell you which machine you need. I used a "landscape trencher" which only cut a narrow slit. It only took 30 mins to do my 1/2 acre.

Warm salt water gargle and flush sinuses 2-3x daily. Mucinex (store brand), Ibuprofen, and Flonase. Green tea with a squirt of lemon and shot of bourbon (my version of a hot toddy). Rest. Patience to wait it out.

Multiple HAZMAT casualties in Seacacus NJ Mall

They do. But it's difficult to distinguish from the ambient funk that is NJ. Or, all the union operators were already timed out this week. -
Who cares?

Good things the regulations are clear, concise, and easy to understand.... :surrender:

Multiple HAZMAT casualties in Seacacus NJ Mall

I bet it was a prank. There's all sorts of things that when released in the air can smell really, really bad. A friend did that to some guys down the hall in the college dorm... His brother had a devious mind, worked in a lab, and had access to all sorts of things. He'd occasionally send care packages with something interesting. One package contained a vial with whatever gives fecal matter it's smell and very specific instructions. There were two dickhead roommates down the hall. One evening, he squirted about 5ml of that stuff through their keyhole with a syringe. Those guys spent the next week yelling at each other over who smelled like sh!t. That weekend, they emptied their entire room (furniture and all) and spread it all out on the sidewalk (4th floor, no elevator), and cleaned everything top to bottom. It took them the whole weekend. And it didn't work. :) The smell did eventually subside after about a month, and thankfully it was contained to their room. They weren't such dickheads after that and moved out at the end of the semester. -
We've had the "bury the wire" version for years with great results. When inside a normal fence, our dog would dig. Like dig to China dig until she got out. Best advice I can give is do a lot of work training the dog. Couple times/day for the first week or two, then daily for another couple weeks. Figure out what the dog likes... be that food treats, affection, play, ... whatever. Do your walks around the perimeter and when the collar beeps and the dog backs up, provide generous rewards. Repeat. And yes, get the lightning protector. Lightning doesn't have to hit your house directly, anywhere nearby will zap it. Ours got hit twice before I got the protector (I'm a slow learner).

Nice! I need a bayonet for my AR. -
Skip the glass for now, wait till the kids get good with iron sights.

Several days my arse... When they tell me that I tell them, "fine, I'll deduct several days service from the next bill." My local retailer/installer has always been really prompt.

Hey George, I've got an idea....

Same here, except I called the dish folks and said, "it's screwed up, come fix it." And the next day they did.

My wife has that attitude. She's got her permit but rarely carries. When I ask why not, she says... "you've got yours..."

Walmart has the same cans for the same price, though I've only seen black.

Very true. My uncle worked his entire career for GM and got fairly high up the chain. I recall him saying that for every 4 people on the payroll, only 1 actually worked. The rest were union displacements, on disability, or retirees.

Where's the guy who worked for CHP all those years? I seem to recall him mentioning that the switch from the double action 92F to the striker fired Smith caused them all kinds of issues due to guys being used to the much longer trigger pull in the beretta.

When the standard inflation rate is 1.5%, 2% per year is 25% too much. And 4% raises every year? That be the stuff dreams are made of. I'd be surprised if my take home pay has increased 4% total over that 9 yr span. Generally I'm happy if the "raise" is more than the healthcare premium increase.

Why is hollow point ammo more expensive than FMJ?

Supply and demand. Distribution costs. -
Fascinating, thanks very much gentlemen.

My wife's granddad (just turned 89 and going strong) has this but he can't remember what it is. The "pitcher" appears to be copper and about 8" tall and 3" in diameter. The "brush" is made from a fairly porous stone, but not so porous as pumice. Anyone recognize this?

A 20% increase in 9 years isn't a lot? Has your take home pay increased 20% in that same time period? Mine sure hasn't.

The $200 trade-in is a joke. I think I'm gonna unload mine and bang it on the floor a few times while pulling on the trigger and see if the hammer falls. I know I've dropped it at least once over the years and it didn't go off.

Interesting, we go pretty regularly as well. Boo at the Zoo was the last time we were there and the sign was still up. I know the zoo is part of Chilhowee park and there's the whole controversy about whether they can legally post the place with the new guns in parks laws. Perhaps they've consulted with their lawyers and were advised to comply with the law. I'd be quite surprised if they voluntarily removed the posting given the general attitude of the Knoxville administration.
