  1. Do you have any sort of account or claim number?  If so, I'd email everyone I could find about it, daily.  If you had one particular customer service rep that seemed more helpful than others, request that person when you call.  Eventually, they'll get tired of hearing from you and do something about it.  If you're not satisfied that they're addressing the issue, ask to speak with that person's boss.  In both email and in person, politely express your frustration with the apparent lack of direction and general poor customer service.    That said, put up a couple photos of the stock.  Perhaps it can be fixed well enough to use in the mean time.
  2. Amen, my garage is pushing maximum density as well. When I pull in I'm about about an inch from my motorcycle and 2 inches from the door. And I agree on the mid sized trucks. A full size is only a little more money and you get a lot more truck.
  3. Short garages suck.
  4.     I'd reverse the cardio/strength goals.    Dad had his knees replaced over the last couple years.  During therapy, his comment that jumped out at me was "I had no idea how weak I'd gotten."  Do strength work at a somewhat elevated pace and you'll get cardio at the same time.   Running... agreed, only if something is chasing me.  And I have tools to deal with things chasing me.  I'll take a bicycle any day.
  5.     I'll agree with this... My sister had a Tahoe for a while.  The 3rd row seats made it nearly useless for hauling stuff.  Taking them in/out was a PITA.  3rd row seats that don't fold completely into the floor make it effectively a passenger vehicle only, and they're usually so tight that they only fit kids under 10.  If you've gotta put a car seat back there.... fuggedaboutit.
  6. I've gone through the same thought process many times and I think I've settled on the truck, until I think about it again.   My current option is the SUV with a small utility trailer.  I use the trailer for hauling all the dirty, greasy, smelly stuff you'd otherwise put in the truck bed.  And I don't care that it sits outside all the time.   Yes, the trailer can be a pain sometimes and it does reduce gas mileage a bit, but it's indispensable when I need it and it doesn't cost me a thing when I don't.
  7. I'd be afraid of the ceramic rod getting whacked and broken if it was moved to the outside.  It's protected up against the body/leg where it is.  If you moved it outside, I'd want it to be mostly covered.    How about a couple pics of it being worn in the various positions?  I'd like to see how/where it rides.
  8. Cool indeed. Wish I had the cash handy.
  9. Congrats! Life gets in the way regularly, but I also started back exercising when I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I feel much better and I sleep a whole lot better. I'd love to drop that last 10-15lbs, but man is it hard.
  10. Some schmuck hit my wife's car in a parking lot and drove off several years ago. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as yours, but it still cost me about $600 to fix.
  11. I don't care if it's faster, I'm not making money shooting so I want what's most effective in returning the gun to battery. A few fractions of a second aren't relevant. And it's the same motion used when clearing a malfunction.
  12. Don't use the release, pull the slide back with support hand and let it sling shot.

  14. There are many occasions in which I've thought to myself.... "one well placed grenade...."
  15. Modest ammo orders over $49 ship free. I don't know what the cut off is as far as bulk ammo. I've gotten nearly 1000 rds (not all the same caliber) shipped free on previous orders with similar terms. Bulky/heavy items are typically flagged as such.
  16.     I've been EDC'ing one for many years, it's nice.  The release lever for tool lock addresses your issue with the supertool (I have one of those too).
  17. If you sign up for their emails, they send out free shipping codes pretty routinely.
  18. Exactly. It's easier when you're still drunk from the night before. The 11am classes were the tough ones.
  19. I've used Bill's Outpost for transfers with no issues.  I'd also call there and stop by Farnsworths to see what they've got.    Gunny's....   :shake:     It's a range and that's about it.
  20. Welcome!

  22. I fully agree that Flukes are hard to beat.   I have one of these and it's worked very well for my basic home/hobby repair sorts of needs for several years.  http://www.amazon.com/Extech-EX330-Autoranging-Multimeter-Thermometer/dp/B000EX0AE4/ref=lp_15707471_1_9?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1455540900&sr=1-9
