The pressure you feel in your ear is typically actually a vacuum. I got an otoscope when the kids started having issues. Their doc showed me how to tell if the eardrum is sucked in (low pressure in middle ear) or pushed out (high pressure in middle ear). Generally, it's always sucked in. And I'll add ibuprofen to the list of things that help. It helps reduce the swelling which can help open the Eustachian tube so the ear will drain. A good friend of mine had Meniere's disease. He'd get terrible vertigo almost monthly, so bad he couldn't do anything but lay in the floor and try not to puke. He went to Vanderbilt and they couldn't figure it out. Then his chiropractor suggested he try a gluten free diet (he's not celiac, they tested for that) and once he did, he didn't have another attack for several years.

Clean a Glock? :screwy: :)

I've been thinking about this for a while as well. I like the convenience of the magnet, but want something more concealed. The "behind the steering wheel" versions seem like they would be difficult to access. I keep thinking about something attached to / under / inside the lower center console (SUV with floor shifter), but haven't had the time on a nice day to get out and see what might work. How secure it is during a crash is also a serious consideration.

My kids have had fairly frequent ear infections, even after both had tubes several years ago. When they got them the firs time, the doctor told me that he didn't think my oldest boy really had 6 ear infections in 4 months. He thought he'd had the same ear infection for 4 months. The drugs knock it down, but the middle ear never really drained properly and dried out, so the infection comes back after a while. Thankfully mine don't really complain too much. I've had plenty of ear infections myself over the years and its very rare that I have any pain. Generally it's just a clogged up feeling. Best home remedy I know of is salt. Gargle warm salt water at least 3x daily. Flush sinuses with salt water 2-3x daily. And not those stupid cans of saline at the drug store, they don't have enough salt in them to do much. I mix my own and use a nasal syringe to pressure wash the gunk out. If it burns like you just shoved a torch up your nose, it's about right. You can also pinch your nose, close your mouth, and blow gently to try to equalize the pressure. Putting a cotton ball in your outer ear does nothing to stop an inner/middle ear infection unless your eardrum is perforated.

I'm interested, but not certain I can attend yet. When do you need a head count?

My kids are still little, but a couple coworkers are in exactly the same spot with daughters. Both girls were academic over-achievers and got full scholarships to colleges several hundred miles away. One coworker appears to have been much too controlling and prevented his daughter from having any sort of life experience outside of his well defined and very narrow boundaries. Now she's making her own decisions and let's just say they're not what Daddy had in mind. The other Dad wasn't quite so controlling, but his daughter apparently thinks he never was a horny 20-something guy. The stories of naivety from both are a sublime combination of hilarious and astonishing. My "never-had-to-work-hard-at-anything" 27 yr old sister-in-law who's moved back in with her parents makes me wonder about a lot of things as well. I can foresee similar things with my kids. The older one in particular seems very reluctant to overcome adversity. At the first indication, he wants to just throw his hands up and quit. When I keep after him until he finally succeeds, he can't hide his satisfaction, but it hasn't sunk in yet that he will succeed if he puts forth the effort. The little one is the opposite. Even at 5 years old, failure frustrates him and he'll put his head down and keep at it until he's satisfied. Which is to say that, parents do all they can, but some kids are wired one way and some are wired another. We can only do our best to prepare them.

I'll agree that it looks like grinder and a prepared thief who knew what was in there, unless it was the home-owner's die grinder. Either way, the thief knew they'd have enough time to get into that without interruption.

Welcome. No exceptions that I'm aware of, you just have to have a HCP like everyone else.

Just to add a little to the WTF pot, there's this.... https://www.facebook.com/sonofkick/videos/10152772083024728/?fref=nf And to be perfectly honest, I find that completely hilarious. Not funny sad like the shooting stuff, but actually funny haha. *cue Carl Childers reference*.

Looks like fun. Where is that?

Interesting... I didn't think you could use a scope at an Appleseed.

I'll agree yours and Mac's ideas that the lanyard hole needs a grommet, a small opening at the tip would allow water to drain (it may be open now, can't really tell from the pics) and consider swapping the Chicago screws for rivets. You might consider a way to make the upper loop removable. Seems like it would be annoying if the wearer used the lower loop and left the upper one free. You might also survey the various sharpening stones and see how many different types the pocket could accommodate. A slight tweak in the size might allow more options.

Find a wood turner near you and have them make one.

I have the same double vision problem when trying to shoot with both eyes open. I've read that LOTS of practice with tape over the weak-side lens will eventually train your brain to only pay attention to what it sees from the strong side eye, eliminating the double vision. I've not put the time in to prove that theory. It's a little more common with shotgun shooters. I don't know if having tape over one lens is legal in IDPA.

Welcome. You live in a beautiful area.

Stay awake until it's time to sleep where you're going. The jet lag when you come back will be worse. Look the customs people in the eye when you answer their questions. Enjoy your trip!

Most all the chain auto parts places loan tools... O'Reilly, Advance, Autozone, NAPA, etc. Just call around and see if someone's got the type you need.

While I don't have any toys to offer for group enjoyment, if I'm available (and I sure hope so), I'm in. How 'bout suppressor demos too?
