  1. A good day indeed.
  2. Very much this. His lyrics speak to me, more so than any other band I listen to. I'm an unashamed fanboy, St. Anger is great. The raw emotion in songs like Unnamed Feeling appeal to me. It's very personal. For whatever reason, my ear has always followed the rhythm lines. I certainly appreciate solos but when the rhythm section is locked in and cooking, that's where it's at. I tried to play bass at first but switched to guitar because my fingers were way too short. And I'm a total hack. I can read music (former band geek) but tab books are the best I can do. I'd love to be able to just kinda play whatever's in my head, but haven't ever been able to pull that off. I took lessons for a while and really enjoyed it but life got in the way. Maybe I'll make my rock star bid when the kids are grown...
  3. You're doing it wrong.... After you close the deal with the saleman, ask to talk to someone in marketing to discuss your advertising rate. They'll be really confused when you put a contract on their desk and say "if you could initial here next to the rate and sign here, that'd be great."
  4. So you missed the target completely with the other 9 shots? Bummer.....
  5. Nope, what he did was perfectly legal. Motorcycles are not required to wait indefinitely at a malfunctioning traffic light. The next step is to call the local dot office and report it. The sensitivity of some lights can be adjusted. And weight of the vehicle has nothing to do with it. The sensors are magnetic, so an aluminum intensive motorcycle won't activate the sensor regardless of how much it weighs.
  6. Dave is an excellent song writer. If he could've suppressed the asshole a little and hired a decent singer/front man, he might've ruled the world.
  7. We've bought a few things at the Lodge store and all of it has been cosmetic seconds. We use it all the time. The knife works is a great place to get hands on stuff that you won't find many other places. I've found better deals on ammo there than knives. Sevierville/Pigeon Forge in general isn't a place to find deals on stuff anymore. There's lots of stuff, but the prices are typically mediocre at best. It's beginning to follow the Turkey Creek business model, which is "mark everything up 20% for the privilege of shopping here."
  8. America will rock again on November 18th.
  9. I'd like to brew my own beer. I also like dark beers and have sampled several from friends who brew, and liked the majority of them. It seems like it would be a fun thing do, but I don't have a basement for aging them and it's just another hobby I won't have time for. Maybe when the kids are grown.
  10. The Coleman store is right there too and they usually have good stuff on sale. The Lodge store is there as well.
  11. Merely repeating what she said she was doing.... That would imply you've tried on yoga pants....
  12. I've no idea what the growth cycle is for radishes (nor do I know why anyone would plant them ). You just have to find out how long they take to mature and back up from your harvest date to determine when to plant. Fall gardens will require lots of watering since its usually pretty dry.
  13. Cooking us a kick ass dinner while wearing your new concealed carry yoga pants, a tank top, and drinking beer sounds like a fine start to me. Just sayin'...
  14. Yoga pants, tank tops, and chugging beer... Monkey is quite fortunate. No belt necessary.... http://www.undertechundercover.com/original-concealment-legging.html
  15. I got my wife a holster from TWAW, and other than having some purple, it's basically just a kydex holster. The curvature is a little tighter than a typical men's holster and it fits her pretty well. If having a little bling makes her more apt to carry, I'm fine with that. Lace corset? Flannel pj's is about as good as it gets.
  16. And not only do they vote, they breed too.
  17. Related to this... If you don't want the squirrels, the hawks love squirrel. The only caveat is no lead shot. Head shots with a .22 are ok. Each squirrel gets X-rayed to verify no shot/bullet fragments are present.
  18. I know the magazine has been around a long time, but hadn't ever seen/heard of products with that brand before they showed up at Dicks.
  19. I was under the impression Field and Stream was one of Dick's house brands. Interesting that they'd have a whole store for it.
  20. I've carried my PT145 for years without issue. It was my first "carry pistol" and I think I bought it around 2003. I'd call the trigger a little spongy, but not much different than most other striker fired pistols I've shot. The PT111 G2 is virtually the same gun, and is based of their 24/7 platform that was created for a military bid to replace the M92 a number of years ago.
  21. They might be back in town.
  22. If they were in the house at the time, I'd add a couple counts of attempted murder to the list.
  23. You're doing everything right. Go slowly and carefully. You'll get a little more comfortable with it (and dry fire practice helps), but a little fear is a good thing, it helps keep you from getting complacent. The only other option is to remove the holster, insert the gun, and then put the holster back on.
  24. What Vick got into was terrible, he served time for it, and appears (on the surface) to be a better person for it. The big difference between him and Colin is that Vick actually has talent.
  25. Bird shot is absolutely NOT harmless. Should someone happen to be looking up at the time, they could easily lose an eye. I've been peppered by stupid dove hunters from a couple hundred yards away. I had a handful of little welts on my arms and the back of my neck.
