  1. Speaking of custom... there's a handful of leather and kydex guys here that could make one for you.
  2. Yep, asks for google password. Is it split for irons and optics?
  3. Close, 1917. Interesting story on how they came about. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_pie
  4. Mmmmmm.... goo goo. I'd like to find that beer.
  5. Saw this in the news. Interesting opportunity. http://www.tn.gov/tbi/article/tbi-citizens-academy
  6. Good for all 3 of them. " traveling to California" with a gun in his car. Hmmmm.
  7. Yes, new default for folks with no image uploaded, similar to how phones name contacts in text messages. Note the letters are the first 2 in their screen name.
  8. I don't store guns in leather holsters, mostly because they won't fit in my safe in the holsters. I also tend to get sweaty and need to wipe the pistols down whenever I put them away. I store them in nylon pocket holsters to help prevent idiot marks in/out of the safe.
  9. Maybe the increased theft risk is the whole point...
  10. Y'all remember this... https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/96491-got-remote-start/#comment-1378885
  11. I go to Dr Vines at Envision here in murvul. In past visits he's mentioned doing custom glasses for shooters.
  12. Most any eyeglasses place should be able to get ANSI Z71 rated prescription lenses, tinted or clear.
  13. Whining about the playoff system aside, the two best teams played for the title, again. Great game.
  14. I'm mostly glad it was a good game. And they beat bama. For the record, no, I didn't go to school there. Couldn't afford it. Both my parents and lots of other relations did. Most of my family is from the Spartanburg area.
  15. Darwin will catch up with him eventually.
  16. Heh... I'm not allowed to turn on lights when I get up in the morning.
  17. Print out the airline's policy and TSA's policy, just in case. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it. More than 100,000 people pass through that airport on a busy day.
  18. It's 15 deg and looks like 2-3" and still falling here in murvul. That'll be chilly to play in for sure.
  19. You lost me at ubiquiti... But yes, the part I understood sounds pretty robust. Clearly you're way more into the tech than I am.
  20. I'm not concerned so much about hacking, just that the whole thing will quit working at the most inconvenient moment, just like every other electronic gizmo these days.
  21. Technically you don't fly a drone, it flies itself. A quadrotor on the other hand, can be fairly enjoyable to fly. I'd suggest you start out with one of the indoor only versions to get the hang of it. Dual rotor helicopters have the same controls as well. If you get an outdoor one, you have to register with the FAA, which isn't a big deal.
  22. @2.ooohhh That sounds pretty cool. The automated lights and such sound convienent. Way beyond my means, but cool. Like @Ronald_55, I suspect it would become a new way for my kids and dog to make me insane. I have had a programmable thermostat for many years and it's nice and helps keep the bills down.
  23. We called them pocket knives when I was a kid. "Lockblades" were what the hoodlums carried and would get you in trouble at school.
  24. I've seen people hold toddlers out the car window to see bears on the side of the road in the Smokys.
  25. Indeed. TGO is blocked by work network and I rarely (get to) use the home pc anymore.
