While I do try to tone it down, mostly for language reasons, I never gave mine much choice about the music. My house/car, I'll listen to what I want and there'a only so much Veggie Tales I can take. My wife is/was a country/pop fan but has slowly been assimilated. She can readily identify a number of bands and only complains when it's really loud. My guitar is an Ibanez from the 90's. I'm terrible, but its an outlet.

They were ok. It seemed like their PA wasn't optimized for a space as large as the arena, so it sounded muddy to me. But I remember them and like the song above... I've got SiriusXM channels through my Dish service. I run it through my home stereo a lot. I listen mostly to Ozzy's Boneyard just cause I'm old school like that, and the unintelligible screaming from a lot of metal bands doesn't do a thing for me. My boys like it pretty well... The younger one (shown) is known to crank the stereo up when something good is playing and run around the house "air" singing emphatically into something roughly microphone shaped. Future front man material? The older one is in a "50's rock and roll" phase. He loves Elvis, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, ... No complaints from me as I like them too.

Saw them when they opened for Metallica years ago. They certainly seem to have come into their own.

Indeed, happy Father's Day gentlemen!

Welcome!

I'd prefer thoroughly, meticulously, or comprehensively vetted instead of heavily....

Sounds like you have a fascinating collection. I have an M48 and 91/30 and my experience shooting them is the opposite with surplus ammo. The Mosin can bite if you're not paying attention, but the Mauser is a friggin cannon. It's fun, but I think I've got a lifetime supply of ammo for it.

I got the same "common sense" registration argument from a coworker the other day. He opined that registration would provide extra motivation for people to not leave guns laying around and make it easier for the cops to determine who owns guns used in crimes. He compared it to car registration. My response was ... so you're saying a car owner should have some liability if they leave their car unlocked and it gets stolen and used in a crime? No, I'm just talking about all these cases where kids pick up guns left laying about and shoot one another. How is registration going to fix that? It'll give people incentive to not leave guns laying around. So fear of liability? How's that any different from now? In most instances like that I'm aware of, the owner of the gun has been quite easy to find. And you think people who would otherwise leave a loaded gun laying around in the presence of small children will be motivated by knowing their gun is registered? Yes. Um... ok.

I have one of these... http://www.511tactical.com/push-pack.html It started life as daddy's diaper bag, but was promoted to get home bag duty once that phase ended. It's small and light enough that I can't over pack it and end up having to lug a 40lb bag around. It contains all the usual stuff... knife, cord, energy bars, water bottles, bug spray, sun screen, lighter, flashlight, first aid kit, etc. I've also got some MRE type meals and sterno cans that live elsewhere in the car. I also have a tool kit, fire extinguisher, tow strap, a couple old towels, more rope, and probably some other stuff that lives in the car. I keep extra warm clothes (boots, pull over, toboggan, wool socks) in the winter.

Wow. That'll get your attention for sure. -
Yep. I'd push hard for this unless that dealer's body shop is much better than most.

Seems the FAA has tried to gather relevant info and put it in one place.... novel concept, right? https://www.faa.gov/news/safety_briefing/ There's also an interesting article about flying the Global Hawk. I didn't know the Navy had any of them. -
M134 BB gun. Never seen that before. Awesome.

Dig the cigar holster.

Double shoulder holster. You know you want to.

As mentioned, it's supposed to take a pretty serious whack to deploy an air bag. Just pushing or side-swiping past another car at 10 mph shouldn't set off a frontal airbag.

Wow.

Hmmmmmm.....

Wait, what?!? You have to pass through metal detectors to access a public street as a normal daily thing? Really?
-
And therein lies the rub. People who won't go to such an event because of signs or metal detectors represent such a small fraction of the total that they're of no consequence to event promoters.

Nana nana nana nana Batman! It doesn't get much better than that.

I've heard "stagecoach Mary" but never researched the story. That's good stuff!
