  1. How so? And I agree, we should be cautious. KJU is a raving looney. I have no doubt he'd nuke anyone and everyone if he thought he was cornered.
  2. I wasn't aware they'd orbited satellites, that's interesting. But I'd also argue that's not that great an achievement. While only a few countries actually do it, there are dozens that are capable. PRK has to DIY because no one else will let them use their stuff. I'd be very curious to see the report from the sub that went to find their rocket in the Sea of Japan and find out what the payload was, if any.
  3. A team of writers couldn't come up with a more absurd storyline. This is so sad it's hilarious.
  4. I'm of the opinion that the threat to the CONUS is minimal. They can barely even get one of their missiles to Japan, much less another 5000 miles here. South Korea and China should be the most worried. A missile failure on the pad or right after launch would make for a bad day.
  5. Autocorrect strikes again. I knew what you meant.
  6. CYA. If they only ship to dealers, they can't break the law.
  7. I've not used a training collar but a good friend did and had similar success to everyone else. We did use a shock collar to work with a "bury the wire" type invisible fence and that worked pretty well too. Yep. Hang in there. The first couple weeks is rough with any new dog.
  8. I don't know anything about his coaching style, I was just commenting on how he built Rutgers from basically nothing. From my outsider's perspective (I'm not a UT fan, I just live here), I see that they need a coach who won't recruit athletically talented hoodlums, and will impress upon his players that athletic participation at the highest level is a privilege and should be treated as such.
  9. Paging @willis68 I've no idea why it would be illegal to ship an automatic knife person to person.
  10. If it's something you really want, never, EVER let the dog win. You have a smart and potentially stubborn breed. You can't let him get his way if you ever expect to get yours. If he won't cooperate, try bribing him with treats or exercise him until he's too tired to resist. As for the toys... I suspect you'd rather he was chewing on those than something else. I'd reward him for choosing the toys. It'll take some time to your sleep schedules aligned.
  11. I have a feeling this thread will provide great entertainment for months to come.
  12. I have a 5.11 Push bag. http://www.511tactical.com/push-pack.html It started life as "daddy's diaper bag" and worked quite well at that. Since I don't have to change diapers anymore it now lives in my vehicle as a get home bag. I like that it's fairly small since it's not absurdly heavy when jammed full, but it's big enough for the essentials.
  13. Shiano's overall record isn't great, but look at it by year. He started with a team that was perinially about 2-11and made them a (mostly) winning program in about 5 years. No small feat for a school that's never been known for having a good football program. Penn State connections aside, what he did with Rutgers is exactly what UT needs.
  14. Have one of the guys here make you one... @gjohnsoniv @East_TN_Patriot @Ron Padilla
  15. Now I'm gonna start a Heath Shuler rumor.
  16. Thanks, sounds like a good time!
  17. I'm not sure about win10, but it sounds like the aspect ratio changed from 16:9 to 4:3 or something like that. You may be able to right click on the desktop and find something like display settings where you can configure that. If all else fails, ask the help and it'll probably show you how to fix it.
  18. I'd like to hear about it.
  19. She'll keep you busy. Terriers and cattle dogs are smart and high energy. They can be destructive if they get bored. Being treat motivated should help make it easier to train her.
  20. No. My post above was incorrect. That building was just the company across the street adding another building. Honestly, I'm still not 100% sure exactly where the property is they bought. If it's where I think it is, there's been zero activity. No surveyors, no signs, nothing. Though there is a fairly significant road building project nearby, so I suppose it's possible they're waiting on that.
  21. I'm grateful my kids get to grow up with both grandfathers and their great-grandfather. I never knew either of my grandfathers, but my wife's granddad is still going strong, he'll be 91 in 3 weeks. Since I never knew my dad's dad (and neither did any of my cousins), I've started a little project to learn more about him by asking Dad and all his siblings to send me stories about him. I intend to compile them into a document and share with the family. The idea for that was born at a family reunion. One of my uncles had lots of old family photos digitized from slide film and made collages for the reunion. I had in my head that my grandfather was this stern disciplinarian type, but the photos illustrated a very jovial person. That contradiction made me realize that I had no idea who he really was, so I asked for stories. I've gotten several and they've been great to read.
  22. Saw in the church bulletin Sunday that the Blount Co Sheriffs office is holding free active shooter classes for church security folks.
  23. I used to shoot at this place when I lived near Kingsport years ago. They have a 300 yd rifle range. At that time it wasn't exactly pretty, but it was functional. It was a very shotgun-centric club. https://m.facebook.com/WildernessRoadShootingAndConservationClub/
