Agreed. I could be wrong but I think units come with a 10 year warranty. Mine was made in 1989 and still going strong. Not to say it wasn't fixed at some point but I've been in the house 7+ years now and all I've done is add a pound of freon. 8 year old unit that's already quit working makes me think it could be something simple. (being optimistic)

Virginia Gun Registration Proposed
NextExit replied to NextExit's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Now "the northern states" will include VA Too bad it's become a blue state. The suburbs of DC are ruining them -
http://www.loudountimes.com/news/article/state_sen._favola_pushing_for_firearm_registry_in_virginia432 But don't worry, it doesn't infringe on the 2A, it's about gun safety.

So next week is the 90 minute mid season finale. I'd love to see them piss off their fans with the whole episode being a back story on Negan.... or maybe they'll do that after the break. I just know they gotta sneak in at some point.

Just hide the credit card statement

Or because he hasn't told his wife about that $2000 shopping spree at Bud's

Did it quit all at once or did you notice it wasn't blowing as cold as the summer went by? Did they show you the gauges showing that there's no freon? Does the fan on the heat pump come on or is the unit just making a humming/buzzing sound? Compressors are expensive. I've seen 4 year old heat pumps that are cheaper than a new compressor. If it's an R22 system, I just happen to have a 30lb jug. My neighbors unit died on him 2 years ago. Said he needed a new unit. (it's about 20 years old) I put about 2lbs in it and it's been working since. BTW, I'm not an HVAC technician but I did stay at a Holiday Inn However, @RED333 is right.... if it's an old unit, it may be best to just figure that into your sale price. Some home buyers are fussy and may have a brand preference or might want a slightly larger unit.

And some just plain bad. As a kid, I always watched the Charlie Brown Christmas but decades later I'm trying to figure out why That monotone dialect makes me think the entire "Peanuts Gang" was stoned.

5+ years later? Got bored and did a search for Trump? Just curious, how many pages back was this thread?

No thanks... I'll be looking for the Christmas horror movies like "Silent Night, Deadly Night" and "Merry Ax-mas"

About time they abandoned the "1 character" episodes. Tonight was good. I like that scene with Gabriel in the car telling Spencer he's not a sinner but a piece of

Oh yeah.....that's getting played on Christmas Eve....

And I've never figured out why Vermont, the bluest of blue states, has the most lax gun laws in the country. But you don't see me living there just so I can brag about gun freedom.

Don't know about PA but as a New Yorker, I can honestly say it is SO much easier and relaxed here.

I see @TGO David turned on the Christmas lights

Well this ain't New Orleans Unfortunately, the scammers will show up. Look out for the out of state contractors saying they'll take care of everything. Years ago when the storms came thru here with golfball size hail, some contractor from TX shows up and says he's gonna go up on my roof because more than likely I need a new one and I won't have to pay a dime cus he'll take care of the insurance paperwork. I told him to get the hell off my property.

How nice of the government to do the heavy lifting for me. They matched me with a plan and even emailed me a bill...all without my approval. I deleted it and blocked them as spam.

FWIW; this is the $150 special tool kit that I bought to work on my Volvo. Camshaft lock, cam cover removal/install and crankshaft lock. Sorry, but that doesn't look like something I want to home-brew a kit for....

Record Black Friday Gun Sales - Enough to Arm the Marines
NextExit replied to Oh Shoot's topic in General Chat
How is that possible? I thought president elect Trump would end the panic buying -
To buy a firearm from me, not only do you need to fill out the bill of sale, you'll also need 3 references from forum members that have over 10k posts. JK of course

AutoZone gave me a "deer in the headlights" look when I asked for a cam lock/removal tool. I ended up buying one. Best $150 I've spent. That's the problem these days is that manufacturers have a specific tool. The loan tools that AutoZone, O'Reilly's, etc offer are mostl good for older cars. About the only thing I've loaned from them is the strut compressor tool.
