  1. Looking for opinions on this gun. I searched and found a few negative opinions on customer service from a year or two ago. Have they got any better? Other than limited availability, (have only found them on gunbroker) Anyone here own one? Looks like I could get one for about $150-$200 cheaper than a G29....
  2. I could go shooting on a Monday, but I go to Sevier Indoor Range. I keep reading about this Norris place. Don't know exactly where it is but doesn't seem to far away. May have to check it out...
  3. I learned a few things in the class but I think it could be narrowed down to about an hour. Here's my course outline: 1) Go to class and get issued a copy of "TN Handgun Permit Reference Guide." 2) Go out on range and show you can safely handle a gun and hit your target. 3) Thank you, drive thru. Yeah, I know, it will never happen...
  4. I'm going to C.I.S. in March so I'll stop by for lunch or dinner on the 13th. You're not too far out of the way. You got a website up yet?
  5. I signed up for the advanced concealed carry class at C.I.S. in Smyrna next month. Bit of a drive from K-town but from what I've read, it will be worth it.
  6. Where do y'all find some of these stories?
  7. Went this morning. I noticed the empty tables also. Was looking for a Glock 29. Found one for $597. (I've seen cheaper on gunbroker) Other table didn't have them and said he wouldn't order any because ammo is hard to find. (odd... Sevier has them and about the same price as .380) Thinking about going back tomorrow because there's a Sig .357 (SP2340 I think) that looked nice. Don't recall who had it though But the place was packed... guess at least someone found a deal!
  8. Don't know. Got mine fast. I haven't lived here 5 years and figured that it might take longer to research my previous state of residence. But maybe my military service helped out
  9. hmmm.... could be an endless debate... You would be suprised how many can't
  10. I'll be there around 9... right after breakfast at Waffle House:yum:... wearing a Joe's Crab Shack shirt!
  11. Got home tonight to find my HCP in the mailbox. Paperwork turned in 1/20, prints done 1/23, in my hands 2/19. And I didn't even make a phone call!!!:woohoo:
  12. Right. I was just saying that even though I had a TN drivers license, the guy was telling me that I still had to be a resident for 30 days. So 30 days after the drivers license was issued.(?) I thought it was bs but really didn't know. I've been living here for almost a year so it's no longer a problem but just wanted clarification so that people moving here would know if they can or can't buy a gun when they leave DMV with their DL.
  13. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have to establish residency in TN for 30 days before you can purchase a gun? For example, when I moved here, I had the utilities turned on and took the receipts and other documents to DMV and got my driver's license. About a week later, I went to the pawn shop in Sevierville, I was told that I had to be a resident for 30 days before I could purchase a gun. So was the guy at the pawn shop right or is there a "waiting period"?
  14. My iMac says "Assembled in China, other items as marked thereon. Printed in China." Funny thing happened a few years ago. A friend of mine, who's wife is from China, asked me to assemble some bar stools he bought. When I opened up one of the boxes, the instructions were in Chinese! I told him he should have his wife assemble them!
  15. Looks like I'll be glued to YouTube for a while.....
  16. Found this guy mentioned in another thread and decided to search him on YouTube. I have spent about half an hour watching the clips and I want to see more!! Some good tips on there. Is there anyone else like him that has similar stuff on YouTube?
  17. Oh..OK. Thanks for clearing that up.
  18. May have to change my avatar..... Go Jeff!!!
  19. Isn't 1807 the same as the bill ruled unconstitutional by that judge? They should just get behind 2694 IMHO
  20. No mention of HB 2694 which was to repeal 39-17-1305 as discussed in another thread in this section.... was this bill just dropped? No support?
  21. I can only imagine what your inbox looks like on a daily basis. I'm sure that "delete" button must be worn out!! This person you banned seems to have quite an attitude. I can picture him at DMV "demanding" to get his HCP or else... He needs to take 2 and get on with life!
  22. Hope and change!
  23. Thanks all for the info! Stupid me never considered the cost of the ammo. That will be a factor on how much I use it. Never done reloads before... maybe I'll look into that. Guess I'll make the trip to the show in Gray this weekend and do some shopping! Thanks again.
  24. What's everyone's opinion on a G29? Been looking at one and I really like it but when I search the links to holsters, I haven't found any specifically for it. Is this not a preferred gun for CC? Any other issues with it? Thanks in advance.
  25. Hmmm.... i did mine 3 days later than you. Wonder if I should make the call??
