  1. Start high and work your way down. Can't hurt.
  2. 6 points is terrific considering it's in the Northeast. Sorry, I have a "like" for Vermont. It's a great state from June-August (when it's warm :D )
  3. It looks like a nice gun but is way to much $$$. I can get a Glock for less. But if I see one at a gun show for $200, I would buy it.
  4. Good 'ol Vermont.... 6 points.... no permit required
  5. I think Trump will self destruct long before the primary.
  6. Exactly. You're probably familiar with the Catskill Mtns. where you have to drive 15-20 miles just to get to a gas station or up in the Adirondacks where there's Amish communities, Indian reservations, and mobile homes for miles on end. It's a very diverse state. I think it's a beautiful state to visit, but the cost of living and back-asswards laws make it difficult for any freedom loving, gun-toting, American to stay there. And "y'all" won't hear me saying "this is how we do things up North" because as far as I'm concerned, y'all are doing something right. And I've lived all over this country... NY, NJ, SC, IL, MN, OR and here I am... so deal with it But if somehow, I get run out of this state, then I'm going to Wyoming. Oh and remember when I said I was from NY? Well, just like Obama, I "found" my birth certificate and it looks like I'm from Kentucky... true story... now can we move on to more important things??
  7. Their website says they have a guy that is taking classes to become a certified gunsmith. The other gunsmith in Sevierville (On Parkway, off Main) shut down last month. (said he's gonna work out of his house but haven't heard anything since) I pulled up the address on Mapquest.... looks like Smoky Mtn Firearms is out in a residential area.... I'll check them out sometime.
  8. In Kodak. Anyone know anything about them? On their Facebook page, they mention possibly opening up a range sometime this year.
  9. That's odd... it's listed here (about halfway down) and it's an RK show... Gun Show Listings ForTennesee
  10. Thought there was one Apr 9-10 at Expo Center....
  11. The last good gun show I went to was last year at Sevier County Fairgrounds. Everyone told me it's a waste of time and money, but I ended up getting the Desert Eagle that day. But ever since then, I haven't seen any deals, IMHO. At the Expo show, I saw a Taurus Judge for $550. I can get it for $410. Didn't find any .50AE ammo and the prices on the .380 and 9mm were no different than buying at J. Floyds. Just seems like a waste to pay $10 to walk around looking and hoping for a deal. I think the best deals are in the parking lot
  12. Got a flyer in the mail today. Smokies Friends of the NRA dinner and auction. Saturday Apr 9th at 6pm. MainStay Suites, 410 Mountain Rd., Pigeon Forge, TN. Friends of NRA - NRA Foundation
  13. Right here: doubleTwist - AirSync
  14. They'll freak when I say Desert Eagle
  15. I bought mine from Tractor Supply. I didn't even know they had them. I was in there one day and saw them. Glad I was driving my SUV because I bought one.
  16. Got the Droid X last November and love it. My iPhone is now an iPod. The only thing I noticed is that the Droid is not iMac friendly. (had to do some research to sync my music and pics) and tethering to my laptop with Linux takes a few commands in terminal, but at least I can tether... iPhone couldn't do that. Really like the screen and 720p camera ! Also the DLNA feature to play music and pics thru my blu-ray is great !
  17. I'm gonna get a hat that says this. It's for all us yankees that moved here.
  18. Am I reading this right? I wouldn't need a permit to carry, but I would need an endorsement on my license? What if a person didn't drive? How many states would we lose reciprocity with? Not sure about this one.....
  19. Really? This is good to know. I need a TGO shirt to wear the next time they tap me for jury duty!
  20. Kind of last minute, but I don't have to work this weekend so I figure I'll go to Sevier Indoor and put some rounds thru my KelTec and Desert Eagle. then go to Tony Gore's for lunch . I'll probably be at the range around 1030am on Saturday if anyone wants to meet, shoot, and eat.......
  21. I didn't see any deals. Only found one vendor that had .50AE ammo and it was expensive. The box looked real old and like it had been left out in the rain. Saw a Taurus Judge and the guy wanted $550. Really? I can get one for $409. Oh well....
  22. I'm actually gonna make this one! For the first time since I got on here, there's a K-town show and I don't have to work! Now I can finally meet some of y'all. I'll be wearing a yellow/white cap (Cat racing, #31...) Don't know who the "usual suspects" are so just yell at me Also, I'm bringing some ammo. 40 S&W, 3 boxes. (2 Federal, 1 Magtech) No longer have a need for it. Make me an offer...... a reasonable offer...
  23. The FBI is free, the TBI is not. Now, I don't know how you could be a felon and show up on one and not the other. And as far as I'm concerned, if you have a HCP, the TICS should be waived. But I don't think I'm missing the point... you pay taxes for services. If you don't like it, write a letter to the governor. Now, I haven't lived in all 50 states, but I have lived in 7 and i have yet to find utopia..... TN isn't perfect, but it's a whole lot better than the other 6 I've lived in. IMHO
  24. Hmmm... good point. Didn't think of that. Hopefully, no one will get the "vaccine" before the next gun show. Zombies at gun shows
  25. Didn't watch the National Anthem. The half-time show was horrible ... I turned off the tv
