  1. No snow here. Fine by me.  I see SC got some.  Must be that global warming, oooops, I mean climate change has changed us to a northern climate. :P
  2. Looking at it.  Very tempting.  Anyone here shot one? http://www.americanhunter.org/videos/cva-scout-v2-pistol
  3. Tomorrow morning should be around 34 degrees, 80% chance of snow showers, winds gusting up to 25mph.... Who's going?  Bet that line out front will be real short.  People may be quick to make a deal.    Coupon:  http://www.gunshows-usa.com/RK%20$1%20Coupon.htm
  4. msnbc still exists? :snore:
  5. I've got a couple trees to take down.  Gonna put some hollow points in my Desert Eagle and try it.  Neighbors might give a wierd look (what else is new)
  6. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/outposts/post/man-panics-shooting-gun/
  7. Close enough: http://news.yahoo.com/san-francisco-giants-fans-streets-world-series-win-122818765--mlb.html
  8. Since all these orders are being placed, someone please order the Fritos Chili Pizza and let me know if it's any good.
  9. Like your phone? You may be able to keep it.  Check out Net 10 or Straight Talk.  They have a "bring your own phone" program.  Yes, it's a prepaid system.  I pay $50/month unlimited (They say they throttle your data speeds back after 2G but I've yet to experience that.)
  10. You'll love the lack of humidity.  Oregon was the same way, you walk outside and think its in the low 70's but you find out it's 92... with 10% humidity!
  11. DirecTV & Dish still compress their channels (they have to, it's the only way to pack 10-20 channels onto a transponder.) But the technology has got better (From MPEG-2 to MPEG4) so the picture is better than what it used to be.  I remember when I had a c-band dish and digital was coming out.  Had a Digicipher receiver and the picture was amazing.  Did a side by side comparison with Dish Network and DN had a horrible picture.... unlesss you were watching a 13" TV :ugh:  Even with the analog reciever, it was still a better picture than digital because it was a first generation signal compared to a digitally compressed, re-transmitted signal to a pizza dish. :2cents:
  12. That would include Mettenberger :taunt: Texans defensive end J.J. Watt pretends to take a selfie after sacking Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger in the fourth quarter.(Photo: Mark Zaleski / AP)
  13. I don't need a flu shot.  I drink wine.  Alcohol kills germs and wine flushes out your arteries.  It's a win win situation.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but I'm skeptical when I see "The state" & "common sense restrictions" in the same sentence. Doesn't matter if it's a state run by liberals or conservatives, they have their own idea of "common sense restrictions" and what's "best for the people." Pick any state and you'll find a law that makes you ask "Why the hell would they pass a law that says    fill in the blank    ?" And some politician will say "Cus it's a good idea."
  15. Not Beth.  She was taken away.  Here's the preview for next week: http://www.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/videos/sneak-peek-episode-504-the-walking-dead-slabtown
  16. I'm thinking Carol took off on her own and the other person behind Darryl is Morgan. :2cents:
  17. Uh huh, and in 2 months it'll be too damn cold.  Speaking of which, forecast is for rain/snow mix tonight and 35 degrees in upstate NY.  And here I just got done mowing my lawn. :pleased:
  18. Never heard of it and all I drive are imports. But after looking at pictures of the event, I'll pass. Don't think my Land Rover would fit in. :)
  19. Good idea but doubt it would ever be signed into law by Obama. Not to mention all the Senators from the communist states would be against it. http://www.overdriveonline.com/mikes-law-national-business-carry-draft-language-and-reader-reaction/
  20. This; https://autos.yahoo.com/news/build-110-000-full-metal-jacket-jeep-173035688.html
  21. I had a feeling Gareth wasn't dead.  Saw him being shot at but not killed.  Too bad Rick got talked out of going back in and finishing the job.  Curious abou the words "you'll burn for this" carved into the church wall.  Only 2 episodes in but so far like what I'm seeing.
  22. I would put a winch on the rear bumper to pull myself out if I were stuck, and a snow plow on the front to make my way thru a pack of walkers. In addition to the cb, I'd also install a ham radio.
  23. Had one when I lived in Oregon.  It was in the living room and was about 3-4 feet from the wall (Don't know if that was required by federal or state law)  and sat on a 4'x4' piece of Durock.  Double lined chimney pipe and extended about 6 feet above the roof.  Also a Magic Heat unit on it will make a world of difference.
  24. I will say that Tennesseans are very protective of their state.  I've lived all over this country and this is the only state where I've been asked how I vote.  Not even the people in SC asked that. :D
  25. Check out a Volvo XC90   The old ones were with the 2.8T or 2.9 engines.  I have one and it does terrific in the corners.. even with 207kmi on it. Not saying I'm gonna take on a Mustang or 'Vette but it does great for a large sedan. IMHO, the Asian cars all look alike. Without a badge, I couldn't tell the difference between a Camry and a Sonata from the rear. Personally I prefer Volvo and Land Rover.  They have their own look (for the most part) and I find them easy to work on.
