  1. It's affordable if you live in one of the 16(?) staes with state run exchanges and have a low paying part time job.  I think you get subsidized by the 1% :grouchy: I think in time they'll determine this doesn't go far enough.  What about vision and dental insurance?  How about life insurance? (I'm sure there would be a cap on that and the government would take half)  And death insurance... we're all gonna die and funerals aren't cheap.  I have little faith the Republicans are gonna fix this but I'm holding out until the penalties are more than the premiums.  Only then will I :surrender:
  2. Just came back from the People's Republic (NY).  While driving thru PA, I heard a commercial for Obamacare.  I think they're using scare tactics to get more people enrolled.  I'm paraphrasing, but basically it said "You need to get in on open enrollment.  You cannot afford to go without insurance.  Do you want to lay in the hospital bed wondering if you have enough money?  One stay at the hospital can ruin you financially.  You could lose your home, your life savings and still pay the IRS a penalty.  Get enrolled now.  It IS affordable,  Call and let us help you make the right decision."  God, I'm scared.  I don't even live in PA and I was ready to call.
  3.  If you're lucky enough to get approved, you won't be able to take a training course because "the department has yet to approve any instructors to teach the required course." :surrender:
  4. At least last night they jumped all over the place instead of focusing on 1 person or 1 group.  I guess some people thought that after the season opener, we were gonna have an action packed season.  Yea, there's been some slow episodes, but I'm not gonna stop watching now.
  5. Yes.  Studies have shown most fans have ADHD so the lights and music entertain them. :hyper: Actually, I have no idea why other than maybe they don't want there to be a dull moment. The only time I analyze and study is when I'm playing the ponies. -_-
  6. Exactly. The major networks don't want to upset their base. Besides, the people are too stupid to understand how this is good for our economy and good for America.
  7. If you want a car that's theft proof then get a Yugo. (If you can still find any) You can even leave the keys in the ignition and no one will take it.
  8. Why is the IRS going after him? He's not a tea party guy!
  9. Lock your doors & set your alarms... your vehicle is "wanted." http://www.vox.com/2014/11/18/7234313/map-the-most-stolen-vehicle-in-every-state Doesn't look like anyone wants to steal European vehicles so I'm safe!
  10. I've had one for about 2 years now.  Mostly I buy Tim Hortons coffee.
  11. Oh there's a big catch to it... or should I say a lot of catches to it:   http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/Cuomo-New-York-tax-free/2014/02/04/id/550910/   Years ago the county I lived in tried a similar approach; no property taxes for a year.  There was a manufactured home company that moved into an abandoned paper mill.  They stayed there for one year then pulled everything out during the night.  Must have been sticker shock. Oh well, at least they created jobs for one year.
  12. Too funny when Daryl was looking at that painting and says it looks like a dog dragged its ass thru white paint.
  13. NASCAR could use some more colorful drivers like the late Tim Richmond instead of boring personalities like Jimmie Johnson.  With the positive changes made (Gen 6 car & new chase format) I think they're going a step backwards next year by reducing horsepower, lowering the spoiler, and lowering the differential gear ratios to make the racing "closer."  Sounds like restrictor plate racing for all tracks.  Will lead to more wrecks but I guess that's what keeps the fans entertained.  :squint:
  14. Wonder if there will be any black Friday deals at the Knoxville gun show?
  15. The season is over but I must say I sure like this new chase format!  Congrats to Harvick.  Was hoping Newman could pull it off but he came up short.  Not bad for someone who most said would be eliminated after the 2nd round.  IMHO, as long as the #18 & #24 aren't in victory lane, it's a good race. :pleased:
  16. And if you must drive in the snow, forget the chains & get socks instead http://www.autozone.com/exterior/tire-snow-sock ^_^
  17. It's tough to read thru the BS since the writer is a clueless libtard. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6109528?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592
  18. Did he write this during a transatlantic flight? Maybe there was a lack of oxygen.
  19. China ranked 102.  Figured they'd be last!
  20. But who's gonna water your crops in farmville?? :P   In account settings, select "delete my account."  They ask you to confirm it, click "yes" and your account and any pictures that were posted will be deleted. Unfortunately, they sold your email so you will have months of "unsubscribing" to do....
  21. Didn't look at it.  You'd think with all the crap going on they'd want their citizens to be armed.
  22. Was looking thru gunpolicy.org checking out some other countries gun laws. (Yes, I'm bored :waiting: ) While no one else has the 2nd ammendment, some have fairly "decent" laws compared to some of our states.  Places like Columbia, Belize, Peru aren't too bad.  Open carry in Peru is allowed without a permit "with some restrictions." Try that in DC.  No character references required for a permit applicant in Belize compared to NY where the state police interview your references ("Do you trust your friend to own a gun?") In fairness, even our most leftist states are better than places like France, U.K., Austrailia, New Zealand, etc. :usa:
  23.   South Carolina doesn't recognize any states permit that doesn't require a handgun safety course.  They don't even recognize Georgia.
  24. Does that apply if you're "just passing thru" or staying for a visit / vacation?
  25. Academy has it for $330 http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/cva-scout-v2-300-blackout-pistol/pid-1296218
