Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there more "unrest" during the 60's? Why wasn't the Confederate flag banned then? The Confederate flag has been around 150+ years and now it's an issue?? :squint:

If your Straight Talk is an Android phone on the Verizon network then you might want to try PdaNet: http://pdanet.co/ Here's what it will work on: http://pdanet.co/help/devices.php I have Net10 (AT&T) and use FoxFi (same as PdaNet) and haven't had any issues. They say you're not allowed to tether, but I think as long as you're not downloading movies they don't notice... or don't care. :2cents:

Yea, it's kind of hard to quit watching after 4 seasons. This gives me some hope it might turn around: http://www.forbes.com/sites/merrillbarr/2015/06/19/falling-skies-final-season/

On TNT: The Last Ship and Falling Skies. Season 2 premier of The Last Ship was tonight. Next Sunday is the season 5 premier of Falling Skies. Don't know how many others watch them but IMHO these are two good shows. Hoping Falling Skies has some more action, last season was a bit "slow."

Just got a bottle of Crown Royal "Hand Selected Barrel" Whiskey, 103 proof. ($50) Very smooth. Having it on the rocks.... no need for coke.

What this tells me is that I should start my own taxi service. I'll have my NRA license plate, advertisements on the roof for gun shops and the "coexist" sticker (as seen on this forum) on the rear bumper. I'll have a sign on the dash that says "Forms of payment accepted: cash, credit, ammo" :D Wonder how many tourists I'll get?

I think the real story here is the fact that this man was able to obtain a CCP in CHICAGO and wasn't charged! :stunned: (Think he'll be praised by Mayor Rahm Emanuel? ) And how does Uber plan to enforce this policy? Install a metal detector in the car? Is the driver supposed to be frisked by the passenger? :squint:

And if you go to Lynchburg or Chattanooga, stop by the Moon Pie General Store. :)

http://www.bbc.com/news/business-33130987 Here's a bit of advice on how to lower their debt... get the hell out of Connecticut!

Every time I see an estimate from a body shop, it makes me think I'm in the wrong business. :-\ Years ago, a guy backed into my Saab (it was 15 years old). The headlight/turn signal assembly and grill were broke and there was a dent in the corner of the hood. His insurance company sent me to a body shop for an estimate. They wanted $2300 :stunned: His insurance said no and issued me a check. Plenty of Saab's in junkyards so I fixed it myself for $150 in parts.

I'm convinced The Weather Channel is funded by Cialis. They seem to run that commercial before every local forecast. :puke: When I lived in Illinois, it was mostly farm related commercials (Pioneer, DeKalb, ADM, etc) Here it's injury lawyers, Sonic, and Title Max. And to show my age, I remember when stations signed off around 1am.... no all night infomercials. :snore:

45 once you get off I-40 then slows to 35 thru the construction (between Douglas Dam Rd and Boyds Creek Hwy)) then back to 45 then down to 35 by Zaxby's. Road construction is way behind schedule. They were suppose to have it done last October. Last I heard it should be done by Sept. :squint: Construction at exit 407 is supposed to be done by June 30th.

So a screen name like "Gays4Guns" or "MosinTotinMuslim" might raise an eyebrow? :D

Glad you're ok. I have USAA but haven't been involved in a situation like you were. Found this: http://www.reply.com/insurance/usaa-car-insurance-uninsured-motorists-coverage-things-you-should-know/

If you mean Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, it's only bad Fri-Sun. If you can plan a Mon-Thur trip, it's decent. :2cents:

Maybe Sunday. I'm going to the gun auction tomorrow.

Just think what a safer country this would be if every state would follow their lead. After all, freedom loving states are allowing bad guys to have guns. :D http://finance.yahoo.com/news/connecticut-gun-permit-law-prompts-220108952.html

Net10. 3 years & no issues. You can choose between AT&T or T-Mobile. $45/month unlimited talk, text, data. They say they'll throttle you back after 2GB but I haven't noticed. You could try a "go phone" from AT&T. Think its $60/month.

Thanks for the correction.

Not me. I don't care to advertize. Personal choice. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but on the form you fill out when buying a gun, there's a question that asks if you served in the military, did you receive an honorable discharge. It doesn't ask what condition your discharge was. Let me go buy another gun so I can see what it asks. ;)

We need this; http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Indiana-Lottery-Debuts-Bacon-Scented-Lottery-Tickets-306010971.html :D

I second the second opinion. ;). A good alignment shop will check inner & outer tie rods, ball joints, and control arm bushings before doing an alignment. And by "good" I don't mean Sears or Pep Boys. They'll sell you a new front end! Struts are an easy DIY project... rent the tool from Advance, O'Reilly, etc, and save enough $$ to spend on ammo. :) Then get the tires & alignment done.

Ooops.... http://mweb.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25202787/look-man-reaches-for-foul-ball-reveals-concealed-firearm?FTAG=YHF7e3228e&ref=yfp Bet no one messed with him after that. :D

I was wondering about this. Coming down 81 out of Bristol and a guy passes me on his Harley, no helmet. Thought maybe the law was repealed. Map of helmet laws: http://www.iihs.org/iihs/topics/laws/helmetuse/mapmotorcyclehelmets (the deep south and the left coast have something in common :P ) NH, IL, IA have no laws. IL... no helmet law but fireworks are illegal. So you're smart enough to know if you should wear a helmet but you're too stupid to light a firecracker. :screwy: IMHO if I want to ride down to Burger King without a helmet, I should be able to. However, if I want to ride thru Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge during the height of tourist season then I'll probably wear a helmet. And I won't get into the "what if" scenarios.... you take a risk when you travel. I've seen plenty of wrecks between big rigs and cars/vans, etc. where seat belts and airbags didn't make a difference. :2cents:
