I don't even know what era it's supposed to be in this show.  No electronic devices (TV, radio, etc) and no modern vehicles.  I won't read to much into the "no guns" theme, after all it's just a show and if it's entertaining, then I'll watch it.   :popcorn:

I agree TMF.  I bought the one from Harbor Freight.  Easy to hook up and connected to my router so I can pull it up on my laptop.  Also any activity is emailed to me.  (I have it set to record on motion) I can pull it up on my cell phone and see if I got any deliveries.  4 cameras & can expand to 8.  Extra cameras aren't that expensive.  And like you said, if there's a lightning strike or voltage spike, I'm not out almost a grand.  I've had it since April & no problems so far... and coincidentally, no issues with trespassers since I installed it.  :pleased:

Is there something wrong with opening a savings account at a bank? I don't need myRA to put money aside. I can put in any amount whenever I want. Lets say I save up $3k and I'm ready to buy a mutual fund but then I find out my heat pump died. I'll put the fund purchase on hold & use my $ to buy a heat pump. If the $3k is in the myRA acct, I can't touch it. Also, as pathetic as interest rates are, my savings acct will accrue interest. I didn't see anything about an interest bearing myRA.

Just found out the Gov't site doesn't show everything.  It shows United Health Care only has 8 plans.  I went to UHC site and it says 17 plans are available and some a lot better than the plans on the Gov't site.  Think I'll make a call tomorrow to UHC and see what the deal is.  :squint:

Just got done searching the available plans and everything is up... premiums, deductibles, out of pocket. :angry: I found only one comparable plan, thru a different company, that will be $60 cheaper than my new premium.  Only problem is it says "No national provider network."  Not a problem I guess if I don't require any medical attention in a state that isn't covered.  Thought ObamaCare was supposed to give coverage to everyone, everywhere? :shrug:

Unless I'm missing something, I see no place for ammo.
