What gets me is how people complain about the fuel economy of their 4x4 SUV.  Maybe it's just me but I didn't buy a Land Rover for fuel economy. :2cents: A friend of mine was bragging about how great his Toyota Matrix is on gas... I said "good, that means you can stay warm for a longer amount of time while you're in the ditch." :P

Another thing this storm screwed up is mail delivery.  I'm tracking my package being sent priority 2 day and it still shows the last scan was California, expected delivery Jan 23.  Guess the plane never left. :waiting:

Aren't those Rovers great?  I have a Discovery II (212kmi) and love it.  I let my neighbor use it when he couldn't get up the drive.  His wife called it a rough riding African safari vehicle but it got them everywhere. :up: 

Agreed. And if you have a 40 gallon, consider a 50.  Only a few $$ more.  I upgraded when I bought my house.  IMHO, a house with 2 bathrooms should have something bigger than a 40 gallon heater.  :2cents:   Speaking of luck, my heat pump and air handler are 22 years old and still going (now I've jinxed myself  :wall:  ) It's a Goodman unit so when it dies I'm definitely buying another one.

  Not all of us have a garage (or can afford to build/buy one). So it's either the kitchen or back porch (for the small repairs), or "shade tree mechanic" for pulling engines. :up:

About 2 inches here and still a light snow falling.  Time to get out the leaf blower and clear the driveway.

  Virginia is like Pennsylvania and Indiana... they won't plow until it quits snowing.  They consider it a waste of resources to do anything when the snow is just gonna cover the roads again.  So they sit there on the interchange ramps waiting for the call.  :whistle:

  Considering there's no refunds for vendors even if there's bad weather, I'd say some will be there.  Maybe later than 9am but if not tomorrow then Sunday.

I see the one in Paris has been cancelled due to weather but nothing yet on Knoxville.  I would assume it's still going on.  Bet there won't be much of a line out front tomorrow morning. Might be a good time to find a deal.

Changing over here.  Just made a quick trip to Dandridge.  I-40 is just wet but that doesn't stop some people from hanging out in the left lane doing 50mph. :shake:

Call me old but I've never understood this whole "speaker in every room" thing. I just turn up the volume on my stereo system and have no problem hearing it anywhere inside (or outside) my house. ;) Forget those little 2 inch speakers and get some nice floor standing speakers. :cool:
