Thanks. They're alumagips made by Hogue & have the Beretta "Trident" logo etched into them. Here's the ad on Beretta USA... https://www.berettausa.com/products/beretta-92-series-aluminum-chechered-grips-w/-trident-logo/ You may also keep an eye on ebay. Sometimes they appear on there a lot less expensive. You can also join the Beretta forum (which is free) & get 10% off any order for life from Beretta USA's website. It's saved me a bundle on parts & accessories.

Technically it should be in better view & IMO closer to the entrance door, but it did get your attention or you wouldn't have posted this. Maybe you could have a polite talk with the manager about the signage & you views on carry. After all, a sign won't stop a criminal anyway. It only stops legal gun owners that obey the law. Maybe he will either consider removing it or at least make it more visible at the entrance.

Do the Knoxville stations (10 & 6) have a link so you can watch them online? We can't pick them up anymore since the digital change a few years back. We can only pick up one channel now thanks to the digital TV B.S.!

Carry more than 1 pistol within the Law with HCP?
luvmyberetta replied to RED333's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
With your HCP you can carry as many as you like. Like others said. There's no limit. -
Yeah, that happens a lot at the Expo show too. Some guys think they can disguise their ignorance with more ignorance. You can't fix stupid with more stupid! Remember the guy that shot a hole through his hand last year at Chilhowee?
-
I'll be waiting for the next one at the Expo, but not sure I'll even go then with all the negative things I've been hearing about the last few shows in K-town. It's a long drive & I'm waitng for people to start dealing & acting civil again. I've got a few pistols I've never shot just collecting dust & I enjoy meeting people & trading. Hopefully things will start returning to normal & owning guns can be fun again. :usa:

Same here. My wife & I don't drink often & we like to enjoy something with a smoother flavor when we do. Lately we've enjoyed some Capt.Morgan Private Stock. I always keep a bottle of Grand Marnier & Remy Martin 1738 in the house, but a bottle will last us months. I also have one bottle of rare Suisse La Bleue Clandestine & I haven't found the right time or occassion to open it. I may never.
-
Why don't they keep the original % content & just double the price like everyone else? Good thing I'm not much of a drinker or I'd need a drink right about now... I've never tried Makers Mark & don't guess I'll try it now either.

Good, heartfelt message from a man using his head. I apologize if this is a repost. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqpzOSYqX3c

Here's a site for aftermarket CZ52 parts, but I don't see the decocker kits listed. They sell stronger forged firing pins and comp trigger kits, though. If I can locate where to find the decocker improvement kit I'll list it. http://harringtonproducts.com/firing-pins/
-
The CZ-52 is known to have decocker problems, but a kit is available to make them 100% reliable. On a CZ-52, the decocker & the brittle firing pin are the only weak points, but upgrades for the firing pin & decocker are readily available.
-
Berettas, for example have a simple & nearly fail proof design. There's a firing pin block that prevents the hammer from ever touching the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled all the way back, even if it's dropped directly on the hammer on concrete. When the trigger's pulled, the firing pin block raises up out of the way to allow contact. I know a lot of guys cringe when they hear that "snap" sound when the decocker's used.

I hope the video was used to press charges against them! I don't understand what makes people do the stupid things they do. I remember about 20 years ago a local family was taking an out of town trip in their pick up truck & one of the family members was riding in the bed. I still shutter thinking about it, but for some reason they decided to pass their infant from the cab to the bed of the truck through the passenger side window while still driving down the highway! They dropped their own baby on the road and ran over it with the rear tires, killing the baby. Ever since I heard it happened I've wondered why the hell would someone would be so stupid to do this? -
Knoxville Police Looking at New Pistols
luvmyberetta replied to Moped's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Glock suggests they change out every 4 years while SIG suggests every 10 years. The officers that tried the SIG also said they were more accurate with them & had better ergonomics. IMO, the move to SIG P220's would be an improvement. Here's another article about it... http://www.wbir.com/news/article/250556/2/KPD-aims-to-trade-for-more-powerful-handguns?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Cbc%7Clarge -
Most of what they advertise online is at their location, but a lot of them come from other sources. I called about a pistol a few months ago that was advertised, but didn't have a picture of it & asked about getting a photo of it so I could see it. Bud's rep told me that it, along with many of their guns, came from somewhere else & that's why some don't have photos in the ads. So far everything I've ordered from Bud's has been as good or better than the discription so I'm very pleased with Bud's service.
-
In the OP case, Bud's needs to step up & remedy that quick, but a lot of the negative reviews I've seen have been due purely to customer stupidity, like not inspecting a used gun before signing for it at the FFL because he was in a hurry. I even saw one guy leave a bad review for Bud's because the price of ammo at his local Walmart "made his gun expensive to shoot" - (Moron!). Most of the stuff customers gripe about are very clearly stated on Bud's site & only take a little common sense to read. I have to laugh sometimes when I read some of the reviews.
-
I hope they get your order straightened out & on it's way to you soon. I've ordered a few pistols & mags from Bud's over the past couple years & everytime I've ordered they've all made it to my LGS less than 24 hours after making my payment. Bud's usually has excellent CS, but with all the madness going around problems can be expected nearly everywhere. Good luck.

Sadly, I think the next one planned at the Expo Center isn't until March... http://rkshows.com/south/tennessee.htm

It shouldn't be a problem. I used to have a show truck with green & white neon & LED lights mounted in the grille area, underside, & inside. It also had about 20 strobe lights on it too, but they were strickly for off road and shows & I never used them on the street & I never used blue. I never got warnings about the lights, but my sound system got the attention of the police several times. 12,000 watts gets you noticed pretty quick when you shake a cops coffee off his dash.

The "crop dusters" in the crowd are the ones you have to watch out for. Like ninjas, they are!

I'm debating on whether to make the long trip or not. With all the panic, I wonder if there will be many deals or mostly just hiked prices. I'd like to move one of my full size pistols to fund the purchase of a good compact CC pistol, but these 160+ mile round trips to the gun show don't make it easy. I may have to hybernate until spring on this one.
-
Something's only worth what someone's willing to pay for it. Personally, I'm not into the whole panic buying/selling routine. Example...is gold really worth $$$$ an ounce or has the market convinced you this shiny mineral is worth it? Is bottled water worth $12 a gallon because they put it into 16oz bottles or has it been marketed that way to make a buck? Were Twinkies really worth $1,000 a pop a few weeks ago? Sell/don't sell, supply/demand...it's all relative anyway. B)

Westboro plans to picket children's funerals
luvmyberetta replied to C.lunn's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yeah, but that could possibly lead to something positive in the news and we can't have anything positive floating around to take the spotlight off murders and gun control, now can we? Now, if Westboro had shown up, that's all we would be hearing on all the networks. After all, misery sells the news! :surrender: -
The site's not down. It's just running slow because of heavy traffic. They're also sold out of about every item I was looking for. There's not a 15+ round Beretta mag this side of the Mississippi right now. (Unless you're willing to buy them at 3X the normal price... )
