  1.   I don't agree with a homosexual lifestyle, but wouldn't kick a kid out for being gay, but also don't think it should be an open issue. The Boy Scouts is a moral based organization that includes God & prayer in their activities, but doesn't push any particular religion or form of hatred toward others. What has made me upset is that they want people to be openly gay & make us say that it's alright. Next, they will want to ban prayer & the Pledge of Allegiance. I know kids have been in the troop that were gay & they were treated like everyone else. As long as it's not discussed & doesn't have an effect on the activities of the troop, I could care less. The reason I'm there is for the kids that have broken & abusive homes, get picked on in school, have social problems & need leadership. I've seen some truely hurt kids that needed the BSA & opening up discussions on whether they're gay or not shouldn't be part of the plan. There's a lot more to the BSA than camp fires & sleeping in tents.
  2. I'm glad that site set me straight before I made a mistake & posted any of those words online. Earlier today while looking at some clouds & eating some BBQ pork after using my exercise bike I thought to myself, I'm sure glad I don't live in Mexico...oh yeah, & gangs.   Are they really wasting our tax dollars on this crap?
  3. As an Eagle Scout, an assistant Scout Master, & BSA commitee member, I can say this is far from a highly supported decision & personally I think it's a load of BS! The BSA, which is a private organization, is allowing pressure from outside to sway them into giving in. Organizations within the BSA are already suffering & I fear this will be the beggining of the end for the Boy Scouts. Yesterday I received an email stating that our district's OA (Order of the Arrow) will be canceling some meetings, camp outs, & activities until further notice & some Scout Masters are resigning & some troops are shutting down in protest to the BSA's decision. The Boy Scouts of America's decision to give in just to keep the rainbow riders happy helps no one!
  4. I've met Jesse Ventura on more than one occassion & IMO it's going to take a heck of a lot more than winning this case to get any respect. The guy needs a major overhaul on his attitude & personality. Calling him a "worthless tool" is an understatement.
  5. 1) My wife & I took the four hour HCP class.....paid $28 each for the class. 2) Next day went to range for shooting test.....included in price. 3) A couple days later, went to the nearest DMV for photo & paperwork....$115 each state fee for license. 4) Drove to finger printing center...included in $115 state fee. 5) Three weeks later recieved our HCP's in the mail.   Some DMV's do finger printing & some don't. My local DMV doesn't take ID photos or fingerprints so it was an out of town trip for us.
  6.   Thanks. I don't think I'm ready to let go of this one. I'm reluctantly listing on my treasured Berettas right now.
  7.   They won't have to ban cell phones. For a while now, they've been trying to get permission to start recording & keeping every phone call & text on record in search of possible criminal activity. Our freedom is being stolen a little more each day & the govt. is using events like this as an excuse to "protect" us from ourselves.
  8. Well, it didn't take long for the scum to applaud this trajedy... http://bigstory.ap.org/article/jordan-extremist-praises-boston-bombing
  9.   In TN the FFL must keep a physical record of the sale (including the gun's serial # & your info) for 20 years. The BATF does random checks & can ask for any of the FFL's gun records dating back, up to 20 years. After the 20 year period is up, the FFL can trash the records. A friend owns a pawn shop & showed me his storage room where he has about 10 filing cabinets full of gun reciepts waiting to expire so he can get rid of them.
  10. I've found that extra large & heavy packages are cheaper through UPS, but almost everything else is much less expensive to ship through USPS.
  11. I'd rather have a copperhead crawl in bed with me than a big spider! My wife & I used to live in a house that had a spider problem. One night I saw a shadow move in the moonlight on the ceiling & wondered if I was seeing things because I was sleepy...well, guess what happened. Yep, the sumbeach fell & landed right on my face & profanity filled the air! (If you saw me react you'd swear someone had thrown boiling acid on me) :panic:  I couldn't get it out of my mind & slept on the couch for a week. We initiated a war on spiders after that, using bug bombs, sticky traps, & chemicals that even scared Russian scientists to work with. (The key is to rid your place of other insects so the spiders won't have a steady food supply) I even turned a baby black snake loose in my basement, that my neighbor had caught, to help keep the insect/spider population down. I'm all for loving nature & doing as little harm as possible, but spiders is where I draw the line.
  12. Here's an updated pic with some recently aquired "Ghost" grips & old school Inox magazines. It almost looks like a different pistol.
  13. My user name says it all... way to go Beretta!
  14.   The 9mm at Academy is $13.99/per 50 Blazer & $26/per 100 so it's not too high. It's just hard to find.
  15. The catch is, you're only allowed one box per caliber per day with a maximum purchase limit of 3 boxes. I drove over 160 miles round trip to Knoxville to find ammo & only came home with two 50 round boxes of 9mm. NO ONE has ammo for sale! We have a local Walmart in my town, but they no longer stock rifle/pistol ammo & it looks like other Walmarts will follow the example soon. Looks like the crooked SOB in the white house won after all!
  16. I know some women that work at a nearby prison & during training they were told to do this (#1 & #2 stink defense) because rape is a daily danger for a woman working in a men's prison. As far as the anti's claiming women don't need to go armed or to just use scissors at home to defend themselves (only if that's all they have access to)...I call 100% complete B.S! I hope the people that claim the public doesn't need to go armed will have to rely on 911 or LEOs someday & get told, "sorry...we no longer have firearms & don't have any ammo to load them with! You'll just have to use your scissors or piss on them! Have a nice day!"
  17.   They also make it in a commander model if that helps.
  18.   Naw...the great Oblammo will just send a soldier by U.S. mail to Kim's house with a helmet cam & Oblammo will simply pull the trigger by remote control from the white house. Isn't that how it works?   Personally, I think our president is a little delusional & sending some B-2's to try to flex our muscles this early in the game was a mistake. Don't poke the crazy ass N. Korean holding a nuke! :jester:
  19.   Agreed! No one should be underestimated. Just look at what some idiots hijacking some jets did on 9/11/01 & how that changed the lives of everyone in the United States! That was more than 12 years ago & we still haven't recovered & we never will completely! The hijacker's attack on NYC & DC accomplished everything they set out to do. Who knows what "crazy-Kim" could do with his nukes?
  20.   Agreed. I'm all for wiping this little stain (Kim) off the planet, but nuclear war must be avoided at all cost if possible. The day a nuclear weapon is used in war will be the opening shot of Armageddon.
  21. N. Korea's leader obviously has some mental issues that are going to cost a lot lives if this situation isn't handled carefully. Like others have said, I don't think he's bluffing, but I do think he's more limited than he's admitting. Can this stop him from causing major damage and loss of life...no. Can America wipe him from the face of the earth...sure, but at what cost. Nuclear weapons in war isn't a laughing matter when you have a crazy, child like dictator holding the switch. Personally, I think America needs to take him to the wood shed & beat his ass!
  22.   Amen! Unfortunately it looks like America may not last that long.
  23. Obama's a horse's ass, plain & simple!
  24.   The D spring only drops the SA pull by about 1/2 lb because of the hammer/sear design. The DA pull is where the D spring makes the most difference. I have a Beretta 90-Two in .40 with a D spring, SRT (short reach trigger), & a full trigger/hammer job. It has a glass smooth trigger pull that's 6.5 lb DA & 3.5 lb SA. They're all great shooters IMHO though.
  25. OS, check Brownell's for stainless inox parts. Brownell's is Beretta's official parts distributor & has the parts you're looking for. Most of the parts on CDNN are NP3 coated & not true inox, but they're a very close match. In fact, Beretta used NP3 coated parts on many of their inox pistols. Be sure to pick up a "D" model hammer spring. All full size 92/96 pistols use the same spring. It takes a few minutes to install & lowers the trigger weight by about 3-4 lbs. Factory DA trigger with standard spring is around 11 lbs. DA trigger pull with D spring is around 7 lbs. Best $5 you could spend on a pistol. I have a D spring in all my Berettas.   Mine was made in the USA, but I would have preferred the Italian model (no difference in quality. I just like the "pasta" models). If you're interested, here's a link showing pics of all my current Berettas... http://rugerforum.net/gun-gallery/63073-new-beretta-family-photos.html
