Im not sure how that dept got around the EPA clean air act. It is illegal to burn modern building materials. The FD should have been forced to put the fire out on those grounds alone. It seems the FD could charge a $75 flat fee for people. If you don't pay, you pay X amount for the FD having to put your fire out. The trouble is that no one pays their bills anymore. We rarely get any of our bills paid back to us.

Agian, how can the FD make any money if no one pays until they need help? The man knew what he was doing. Even better, its been reported he set his own home on fire. How can you sit there and watch it burn? 1. He didn't pay. 2. Could the house even be saved? 3. What if another call came in? What if that person had paid their fee? 4. What if a firefighter got killed saving just property? The FD's policy stated if a life was endangered a rescue attempt would have been made. The man lost his property, and that does suck. I feel bad for him, but he rolled the dice.

Just make sure the tickets are real. They have come up with some great looking fakes. My dad bought some football tickets that had the holographic decal and everything. We went to scan them at the entrance, and they told us they were fake.

I find it intresting that they don't allow gun stores in the city. If it is that hard to get and own a gun, what is the harm in having a gun store in the city. 45-0, that is just plain sad. Everyone who can legally own a gun should be allowed to have one on them when they are in their house.

That is what I am thinking. When they come for the guns, they will search people who have been known to have guns. Do you really think the are going to let you keep some guns because you didn't buy them through an FFL? Those that believe they can't come take your guns are foolish.

Go and visit the station. Find out how it operates. They may never do any training and it may turn out to be a waste of time and a danger to you. Then again, it may be one of the few well run voulunteer departments. Emt is a good thing to have, but it is a HUGE waste of money if you get half way through it and it is not for you. Emts do a ton of nasty, nasty things.
