Where would you shoot.......head or body
TNFF319 replied to chances R's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Find a cop or soldier who has had extensive training and has been in a shoot out. Ask how much thought went into it. You go into survival mode and fall back on training. You shoot for the main target ie. center mass. As stated, you miss that head shot and your target can shot you and you now have a stray round. -
I trap at the very end of the season on public lands when there is almost no one else in the woods. It is too big a headache to work around the almighty deer hunters. If you are going to trap, you need to be aware of who and what will be in the woods with you. Many traps and set ups can easily kill or injure a dog. What kind of game are you after?

I pick up my first hive at the end of the month. I recommend those interested in honey do a little research on honey bees and beekeeping. There is quite a bit of misinformation and rumors about bees. Bees can be kept in most urban, suburban, or rural areas with a little planning. Its great for the environment, provides a wonderful treat, and is a good hobby.

I had to laugh a little. His kid said "never put anything in front of the barrel you arent willing to lose." That was some misfire to suck your thumb over the muzzle then go off. -
They know times will be tough when China takes over and they want little blood shed.

Remington's response to Walmart specific guns
TNFF319 replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Long Guns
Remington sells crappy weapons. Take any new gun off the shelf and work the action. -
An "I am Legend" situation in more plausible. We will more than likely be our own demise. We will create a cure for one disease that sets us up for another disease. Also global overcrowding is an issue. We are expanding too rapidly for Earth to support us.

So the dog ran tail low when a stranger approached with a stick? Many dogs receive discipline. Some owners may take it too far, and some dogs can’t handle pressure. More times than not it is the trainers fault. I know many people who train and run dogs. Some are pets and some are tools. I know one guy who told a man to just tie the dog to a power pole, and he would be by sometime that day. I don’t agree with him, but people vary with the way they view a hunting dog. My lab is my hunting partner and friend.

Sheriff tells citizens to carry a concealed weapon.

Sadly, this still won't wake people up. -
Put the victim in the bathroom and deny entry to everyone. I think the two keep beating the victim because they know they have nothing to worry about. No one will stop it and the victim was easy prey. If someone with some power would have demanded it to stop, I feel it would have ended.

+1 I use to flash my lights all the time. Then I started thinking about it. What if that guy is wanted for murder or kidnapping, and I just helped him get away?

Shrimp is a great bait for panfish. As stated above, bream are easy to catch and are everywhere you look. Try a smaller lake with less pressure. When I take little kids, I hit up lakes in neighborhoods and apartment complexes. They are usually loaded with fish and have very little fishing pressure. Try going in the afternoon, the heat won’t be as bad and the fishing is usually good enough. Remember K.I.S.S. You want your son to catch a fish not a trophy. Target the smaller easier fish.

"Police said one thing you can do is put your purse in the back seat of your car next to the baby. That way when you get out you won't forget the most important thing." The purse?

Yup, just like Obama will never become President. You have too much faith in the government.
