  1. You're fine. We just don't normally get this much entertainment. We normally argue about politics and talk about Greg's boat.
  2. I'm impressed, but I really hope for your sake that you copy/pasted that from another source.
  3. That's a great deal on both. I hear stories like this every so often but every time I visit a pawn shop I leave shaking my head. Were those shops in Knoxville or Cocke County?
  4. Get some rest and be safe out there. edit- I see now that your profile says LEO.
  5. We visited CO a few years back. Its a lot stronger too..
  6. Why does it seem like every 3-4 years we have some interesting character join TGO? I miss @bajabuc...
  7. 400 guns in one setting? Is that normal?
  8. Ruger 10/22. It's still in my safe though it hasn't been shot in years. I'll never get rid of it though.
  9. When I look at the classified here I can tell some folks have not gotten the memo that prices are down. If you're having to bump a thread 100 times and the gun hasn't sold, you've got it priced too high. Folks would be better off waiting until prices go back up rather than sell at a big discount now. Now, if you're not in a hurry, there is nothing wrong with staying firm on the price, just don't expect it to sell anytime soon. Now is definitely a good time to buy. I'd hate to be in a position where I HAD to sell though.
  10. I like that place. Ever notice the pistol grip pump shotgun they have hanging back near the grill? Those guys don't mess around. They are related to Johnny Knoxville as well.
  11. How was he even out on the streets? I thought felon in possession of a firearm carried a 10 year sentence typically. Then he did it again.
  12. There has to be more that we don't know. The video even backs up the officers claim that he was armed. I can't imagine a jury convicting. Now, perhaps the officer should be reprimanded for the fact that he made a stop or attempted to stop someone that had done absolutely wrong up until that point.
  13. I was just reading that. It was a BS stop. They had the wrong guy and no reason to even interact with him. I'm guessing he was not legally armed which is why he ran. I suppose one could argue that if we had constitutional carry, he wouldn't need to. It's a crappy situation all around but I still think he shouldn't have run with the gun in his hand. That was a grave mistake.
  14. I can't tell if you are disagreeing with the officers choice or agreeing. The part you highlighted in bold seems to indicate he had reasonable reason to fire. I'm not disagreeing with you. I just don't understand what you're actually saying? Can you clarify please.
  15. You and I typically agree on these matters but I'm not just seeing it here. Again, maybe they know something that hasn't been presented to the public. All it takes is one second to turn around and fire on the officer. If he just wanted to get away, why not drop the gun?
  16. In the video it appears he has a gun in his hand as he runs. They said a weapon was recovered, 9mm Beretta. Wouldn't that present a significant threat?
  17. I thought we had a thread on this but I didn't see anything when I searched. Feel free to merge if someone finds it. I don't understand this one. I thought the video made it look like a justified use of force. The fact that he was running away doesn't mean much to me as it only takes a fraction of a second to turn around and shoot the officer. I wonder if they know something that hasn't been released. Thoughts? "A Nashville police officer caught on video shooting a man in the back as he ran away has been charged with criminal homicide. Officer Andrew Delke was charged Thursday in connection with the July 26 shooting death of Daniel Hambrick, 25, according to an arrest warrant obtained by CNN. Delke's attorney said he plans to plead not guilty. Surveillance footage released last month by the Nashville District Attorney's Office shows Delke, 25, who is white, chasing Hambrick, who is black, until the officer aims his gun. Hambrick falls to the ground within seconds. Delke said he saw Hambrick holding a gun and asked him to drop it as both men were running, the warrant states, adding that Delke said Hambrick did not drop his weapon. Authorities recovered a handgun from the scene, they have said." https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/28/us/daniel-hambrick-nashville-police-shooting/index.html
  18. It doesn't do much for me either but for $200 you're not making a huge investment. You could keep it a few months or a few years and probably sell it for the same price if you were bored with it. You and I have similar tastes. The GP100's are awesome.
  19. The lesson for me from reading this thread is to take good care of my teeth. Having things pulled sounds miserable.
  20. That's how I took it as well but it was poorly written.
  21. I feel like I know a lot more people that have been unsuccessful rather than successful while hog hunting here. Are they just that hard to hunt?
  22. As of 1312 this story is still on the front page of CNN and CBS. I had to scroll to the very bottom of Fox to find it. If anything this story got MORE coverage because it was done by a woman(?). I've noticed the death toll typically influences how much these shootings are covered. There were were actually 3 "mass" shootings this week in less than 24 hours and they were all covered a lot less than than ones that involve more victims. That's a sad reality.
