  1. I'm so very sorry to hear this.
  2. What are you looking for in a truck? First Gen Tundras provide a lot of value. I'm on the Tundra forum some, you wouldn't beleive how many guys have 300k miles on theirs. A few have passed 500k and one guy got 1 million miles. His was a gen 2 but same 4.7L V8. https://nwga.craigslist.org/cto/d/douglasville-2004-toyota-tundra-crew/6780692220.html This one is priced very well. It has the rare stepside which some make fun of. I'd drive it though. https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/d/lawrenceville-2003-toyota-tundra-4x4/6782192850.html
  3. He never could explain what he was doing on that bridge. That's what bothered me. I wondered if he did murder those 2, and disposed of them there in hopes that they would just get roped in with the rest of the child murders. It was clear that he had been following the case on the news so he likely knew that kids were being dumped in that river. It's clear that there is a lot we may never know. I'll check this one out next. Thanks for the suggestion.
  4. This was an excellent suggestion. I had never even heard of this case prior to you mentioning it. I must have changed my mind on his guilt vs innocence at least 10 times throughout the series. It really does leave you with more questions than answers as you said. I'd be curious to get your thoughts on whether or not he murdered anyone.
  5. I've carried a Glock 19 for nearly a decade and I still think they make one of the most reliable guns on the market. The Gen4 17 is one of my favorite guns I own. I'm obviously a fan. That being said, Glock stopped being innovative in the 90's. They are always trying to respond to a consumer request from 5 or 10 years ago. The request for a single stack 9mm became an internet meme before it became reality. I'm not convinced the G43 has been as successful as they hoped. It seems even some of the die hard Glock guys prefer the Shield.
  6. Can we talk about how ugly that color combo is? I never imagined a Glock could get any uglier.
  7. Merry Christmas from Florida. 73 and Sunny.
  8. I'm not sure I agree. My 1911 has substantially more recoil than my Glock 21. It really is a night and day difference. The metal guns don't "absorb" the recoil like the polimer frames. Maybe 9mm is different?
  9. The gen4 Glock 17 fits my hand remarkably well. It's one of my favorite guns. But if you want a 9mm, just for fun I may opt for something that has a bit more....character. How about a CZ 75 or similar? Walther PPQ might be on my list too.
  10. Did you get a job at Beretta? I'm confused.
  11. Your lawyer could argue that in court I suppose.. If your 95 Ford Ranger hasn't started in 10 years it's still a Ford Ranger.
  12. What good would that do? If you get caught, having a bolt through it isn't going to prevent being charged.
  13. You need to buy a 2nd. One to display and one to shoot. That is the only acceptable solution.
  14. That sounds like a great reason TO legalize it.
  15. How long before the ATF changes their mind on this as well? It looks great though. My first thought before I noticed the strap was that I'm not sure I could hold on to that beast.
  16. I already posted about that. I thought you were implying earlier Trump was going to have a change of heart when you said "let's see what happens when he figures out he screwed up". Trump doesn't ever admit he's wrong. That's not about to change now. But I'm glad to see the GOA and others challenging this.
  17. I can't add a ton of value to this thread but I do listen to True Crime Garage. I'm a sucker for true crime stories and they do a good job of covering some cases you've heard of and some you probably haven't. They have covered several famous cases from Tennessee. If you do decide to listen to their podcast the first one I would recommend is The Vanishing Man. @Chucktshoes, I think you would enjoy this episode. Here is a teaser, https://www.truecrimegarage.com/podcast/blog/the-vanishing-man-177-178 Actual episode, https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/true-crime-garage/e/53003500?autoplay=true
  18. Respectfully, I must disagree. Parkland FL, Las Vegas, Orlando, Sutherland Springs, TX, Virginia Tech, Columbine, etc etc. None of these are states with highly restrictive gun laws. In fact, they are the opposite. Even CT wasn't that restrictive prior to Sandy Hook. Now, you could argue that most of these are gun free zones. There are states with a lot of gun crime and loose gun laws. TN is an example. There are also states with lax gun laws that have very little crime. NH comes to mind. If you look at the top 10 deadliest mass shootings only 2 were in a place that has strict gun laws.
  19. Nothing will happen. The NRA has agreed to bend over and take it. His base isn't going to vote for someone else as you alluded to in your post.
  20. It's also not surprising that our most vocal Trump supporters are suddenly silent in this thread. Someone recently pointed out that during Obama's first 2 years we got the right to carry in National Parks. During Trump's first 2 years we get this #### sandwich. That isn't a compliment to Obama, just a fact. It was the GOP that snuck that into the bill he wanted to sign. I'll say it again, the GOP does a much better job when they aren't in power.
  21. The thing that gets me is that Trump didn't have to do this. The Vegas shooting happened over a year ago. People aren't even whining about bump stocks like they were. In fact, the only person that kept talking about them was Trump and the only people that were complaining about them are never going to vote for Trump anyways. This makes zero sense for him politically. Trump did this because he wanted to. Why? I'm done with the NRA. I'd rather give money to a group that doesn't Negotiate Rights Away. This is what happens when the NRA becomes an extension of the republican party rather than a non-partisan advocacy group. They did a damn fine job when Obama was around and now they work with Trump to ban an item that really isn't a problem. It's also pretty scary that they can do this without a buy-back. So for those of you that don't care about Bump Stocks I want you to keep this in mind the next time they come for an item you do care about.
  22. So what is the penalty for possession? In a few months formerly law abiding citizens will now be criminals. All for what? Does anyone think the NRA would have remined silent if a Democrat had done this? HELL NO! At least the GOA is going to fight it. They will get my money from now on. https://thehill.com/regulation/421928-gun-rights-group-says-it-will-sue-over-bump-stock-ban
  23. Are getting very creative. https://mobile.twitter.com/FOXNashville/status/1074715025506471937
