After clicking that link, I'm almost certainly on a list now..

See, I didn't even think he was fumbling. To me, he just didn't look committed. Almost like he thought he could end the situation just by drawing and wasn't in a hurry. Who knows what he actually saw though. His daughter was apparently sitting right in front of him. She was the one that jumped up and went to his aid. It was tough to watch. That family will be in my thoughts tonight.

Sorry you don't like him. I feel his videos have great lessons.

You also described the vast majority of guys at gun shows.

1.5 million followers...Definitely a hack. He's putting out high quality content that is almost certainly doing a lot to help our cause.

Same here. Nothing but cheesy tourist traps. I live only an hour away and I haven't been there in many years.

John has a video out on it already. If you aren't familiar with him do yourself a favor and watch a few of his other videos. He's running the best self defense channel on YouTube in my opinion.

They entire thing lasted around 6 seconds. It's a damn good thing they had such a good security team. Good for them.

Ok. I wasn't disagreeing.

We're also one of the worst states in the nation for voter turnout(43rd). That's not helping anyone.

You made my day. Thanks for sharing this.

I wonder how often this sort of thing happens and the cops never get caught.

Not sure if this one was posted yet. Worth a watch.

I haven't had cable in nearly 10 years. Just Netflix and Hulu right now.

Stopped by the Lenoir City store today against my better judgement. The ONLY box of handgun ammo left was .25ACP. The clerk said it all sold out in 1 day. I ended up leaving with a 6 pack of beer... -
I started a thread about this maybe 5-6 years ago and was basically told I was making it more complicated than it really was. So I'm glad to know someone else finally agrees.

Some people online were claiming Guard troops would never go around and enforce gun laws. I guess they forgot about Katrina. I firmly believe that if ordered, they will do exactly as they are told. I doubt door to door searches would ever occur but that doesn't mean the guard will just ignore orders from the Governor.

Underwhelming. People have been asking for this for 10 years though. Why does it take Glock so long? Maybe they will have a carbine by the time I'm entering a nursing home.

This is what I started with. Just don't do what I did and drop it. They also have to be stored at a specific setting which I didn't realize. My wife says I never read the instruction manual. I'm convinced mine is no longer in spec so it's been retired. @hughd do you know what range of ft/lbs you need? Home Depot has a few on sale right now. I've found that I needed one that starts at 10lbs for a lot of the work I've done this year on my truck. Also, the length is important. There has been times when I couldn't get them in certain places. https://www.homedepot.com/s/torque%20wrench?NCNI-5 Edit-didn't realize you were needing one for working on guns...

Agreed. Every since I got bent over by Equifax a few years ago I've had a credit freeze in place for both my wife and myself. It's a pain.

Who cares? It was half an ounce. Who was he hurting?

Good point. But I would say that he was never prosecuted because of explosives violations. But to your point, he definitely attracted the wrong attention and it ultimately cost him.

This isn't the politics section and that has no relevance in this thread. To be honest Dave, I don't care what you think. You could disappear from this forum tomorrow and I'd barely notice. Much like a fart in the wind. This forum is barely hanging on, aside from the classifieds which account for 90% of the posts here. God forbid I try to generate some conversation here over a topic I thought was relevant and interesting. Why you're trying to take it off topic with your response is anyone's guess. I do believe he was railroaded. The ATF raided his home based on charges that were false and it was determined their search warrant was illegal. The ONLY reason he was even able to be charged is because he had a minuscule amount of plant that makes people hungry and lazy. He then had a small fortune of firearms stolen. So yes, I do believe that is the definition of government over reach. It's not like they suspected him or running a drug operation and raided him for that reason. If that were the case I'd have less sympathy.

I alluded to that in my earlier post. Pretty sure that's not illegal though. Like I said, He pissed off the ATF and they found a way to put him in prison. It's that simple.
