That particular Boeing is one of the safest models in the world. Someone uploaded a video to Twitter and the plane was engulfed in flames on the way to the ground. I would not be surprised if it was shot down.

I agree with all of this, and I don't think it makes you sound eager. War is awful. I don't want to get into another war with Iran. We still haven't won the Afghan war after nearly 20 years. Even if you take out the human toll, the financial toll it's had on the US taxpayers is huge. In 2003 our military spend was $437B. In 2020 it's projected to be $989B. That sort of growth isn't sustainable. And it's not like we didn't have a capable military in 2003.

Some of the responses here appear eager for another war. It is concerning.

You're not wrong. Will you feel the same way the next time a Democrat does it? I recall this forum being angry with Obama(king of drone strikes) when he did similar things. And I realize this isn't unique to Trump. How long have presidents been ignoring this rule? Should it even exist anymore since everyone ignores it? If we allow them to ignore certain parts of the constitution there is no stopping it.

I miss the days when presidents asked for congressional approval before launching military attacks. Aside from that I have no issue with that guy dying. Iran is not our friend. If we're going to go by that logic though, why doesn't he order some strikes against Saudi Arabia while he's at it? They only pretend to like us.

Yeah I should have known better. The first thing I saw was some guy who posted his name and address on the open forum. Who does that? I'm picturing some retired 69 year old that's borded to death. His grandson probably has to turn on his computer for him. He's got 2 bad knees and high blood pressure. Despite that he's ready to join the militia and help overthrow the government.
