  1. I get really uneasy at indoor ranges. I remember seeing bullet holes in the walls at the old Coal Creek Armory.
  2. Nice job AJ!
  3. You might have reached the max of what you can upload. TGO only allows you to post so many pictures before you have to free up space. Click on your name in the top right, then click your attachments. I'm currently at 80% so I'll have to delete some old stuff soon.
  4. Exactly. Have you seen my avatar?
  5. I guess I'll give Outpost another shot. I couldn't get past the first 10 minutes. Very cheesy opening battle scene. Just seemed like a low budget film.
  6. Reminds me of this,
  7. What fear? I don't really care what you do or don't do. I just don't have a problem wearing a mask right now and I understand the reasons why they are asking us to do it. If you don't want to wear one then so be it. Greg said he didn't understand why he was being asked to wear one if he didn't feel sick and I was merely trying to point out why that is. I see a lot of those people too and they all look like redneck mouth breathers to me. I try to avoid them even during normal times. Maybe you'll enjoy this. My crazy aunt(a real life Karen) sent me this unsolicited message a few months ago.
  8. Greg, you must have been right by my buddy then. He's related to York and lives within a mile or so of his grave site and said he saw the entire thing. I'd say that's the most exciting thing to happen in that area in the last decade.
  9. To be clear, I posted that to pick fun at all the people who feel their rights are somehow being violated by wearing a mask. I agree with you. People are selfish. That's really what it boils down to.
  10. "The team of researchers at the University of California San Diego and the National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, identified that wearing masks is essential to combat the asymptomatic spread of aerosols and droplets. Asymptomatic carriers make up the bulk of those who transmit the virus. They are the ones who are infected but do not manifest any symptom, making it hard to contain the spread of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)." https://www.news-medical.net/news/20200528/Face-masks-essential-in-combating-asymptomatic-spread-of-SARS-CoV-2-aerosols-and-droplets.aspx
  11. It's time I actually watch this movie but from what I've heard it could be a documentary of the last 4 years.
  12. From what I've seen and read, stay away from Dodge.
  13. I don't think it's a rattler. Oddly enough I found another one of the exact same snake dead in my yard today but this one had his tail and there were no rattles on the end thank god. I don't know if my dogs killed this one or what.
  14. Anyone else notice COVID getting less and less media coverage?
  15. Florida is a mixed bag. When we bought our house there in 2013 it was on par what what we would have paid in East TN. Property taxes were higher but not by a ton. Sales tax is lower. Overall I never felt like it was more expensive living in central FL than TN. Also Moomba Boats and Rubbermaid, where they make Sharpie permanent markers. For a small town it has a surprising amount of manufacturing and distribution. Altar'd State DC is there too.
  16. Oh I completely agree. I'm not exaggerating when I say I plan to keep this truck forever. I've spent over $10k building it to my specifications. I had no intentions of selling to Carvana. I just wanted to see what they offered. Obligatory truck pics.
  17. I think it must depend on the region. The rumor was that 20% of Toyota dealerships have zero Tacomas on the lot. I doubt the guys were lying about the Carvana offers but who knows. I spoke to one guy in Knoxville that traded in his Tacoma on a new 4Runner and he said the amount they offered him for his truck was ridiculous. I put my 2002 Tundra into Carvana and they only offered me $2k I've put $3k into the suspension alone.
  18. Normally it's not the best idea but right now it actually might be. Dealers are desperate for new sales right now.
  19. Who wants to take a stab at this one? Found it dead in my yard after the crew mowed yesterday.
  20. Yeah they are definitely an outlier but even they don't normally sell for MORE used than new. Buy yes, it was an extreme example. It really depends on what @hughd is looking for.
  21. Keep in mind the used vehicle market right now is madness. Inventory is slim and prices are high. I'm watching some of the guys on Tacoma World state that Carvana is offering them more than they paid 3 years ago(new) for their 2017-2018. Yes, you read that right. They are getting offers to sell their trucks for more than they paid new.

    Retirement?

I agree with Dave. I don't see how the free market is going to fix this. We are an extremely unhealthy populace. When I was in Europe, their most overweight person would be considered "average" here in East TN. We all sit way to much, and we don't even try to eat healthy. Hell, those that do try to eat clean get ridiculed for being vegetarian. "chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and heart disease, have increased. As of 2010, the health care costs of people with at least one chronic condition are responsible for more than 85% of health care spending. Almost half of all Americans have at least one of them. They are expensive and difficult to treat.7 As a result, the sickest 5% of the population consumes 50% of total health care costs. The healthiest 50% only consume 3%" https://www.thebalance.com/causes-of-rising-healthcare-costs-4064878
  23. Somewhat related. We had a woman shot in the face Friday night at 6:30 in a very popular part of Knoxville, where families go. It was an attempted car jacking in front of numerous people. They haven't caught the suspect and they wouldn't even tell us his race. Only that he had dreadlocks. Anyways, just goes to show you it can happen anywhere. This is an area my wife and I live about a mile from, and we frequent a few times every month. She attempted to get away in her car and it may have saved her life. https://www.wate.com/news/top-stories/it-is-what-it-is-shooting-victim-shares-story-after-escaping-attempted-carjacking/
